THE family of missing Esra Uyrun, whose car was last seen in Bray, Co Wicklow, have pleaded with gardaí to allow them to examine unseen CCTV footage that they believe could hold the key to solving the baffling case.

The 38-year-old mother-of-one was last seen leaving her home in Clondalkin, west Dublin, on the morning of February 23, 2011.

I don’t know the geography of Ireland well at all, so had to look these locations up. The distance between her house and Bray Head is a 21 minute drive.

I was also curious about these keys and found this article. Maybe they aren’t all that related to her disappearance:

“The owner told her the keys were found on a counter in the takeaway at some stage before Christmas and were hung on a hook.

The owner recognised the photo on the keyring after Ms Fidan put up a poster of her sister in the shop.

Gardai confirmed the keys fitted the car found in Bray.

Ms Fidan said Esra and Ozgur lost a set of keys six months before Esra's disappearance but these particular keys only turned up a year after the disappearance.”

Can anyone corroborate the story about her "going to the shop for milk"? I presume this statement was given by the husband who she lived with? I hope they took a look at him. Who knows if she even left that house alive. Especially as the timing was given as a very specific 7.15am but it takes her 30 minutes to get to a roundabout 5 minutes away? It also said they couldn't establish who was driving the car?

Screams foul play to me whether it was someone close to her or a random opportunist (statistically we know who it usually is).

The time anomoly could have been a slip up by the husband, the neighbour said she saw her leave in the car at 7.15am but at that time of the year it was still fairly dark, and if you were up you would have your indoor lights on looking through your window, how accurate could you be as to who got into that car.
