Agreed. I'm just disappointed I can't find a better video than YT offers of Etta doing "Piece of My Heart," the song Janis Joplin made famous. Because, when she wasn't screeching her fool head off, Janis was ALL ABOUT ETTA.

Should we do a new thread in Jury Room, or just leave this one as the repository for Etta songs? Another one could feature not only Etta but tributes to soul music in general, too.

I figure this thread will be moved to the celebrity forum soon-so I think a thread like Bowie's would be fine and it morphed into other music - so this thread could evolve into all music that edifies Etta and that she would appreciate or influenced her. What ya think?:waitasec:
