Horry County police respond to residence of Sidney Moorer, woman charged
Sidney Moorer said he heard a noise shortly after 3 a.m. Monday and realized it was someone trying to get in his front door.
He got to the door, partially opened it, and a woman outside was demanding to come in, saying the people in the house should know who she was, Moorer said.
He and his wife Tammy are out on bond, charged with the 2013 kidnapping and murder of Heather Elvis. Elvis has not been found since she disappeared December of that year.
Moorer said since their arrest in February 2014 and their release from jail on bond this past January, his family has constantly been threatened and hes had to call the police numerous times for people coming onto his property.
I didnt know who this woman was but she seemed pretty agitated that I wouldnt let her in the house, he said. She seemed pretty intoxicated. But with all the threats weve had to deal with, I couldnt take any chances.
