The reporter Kathi B did say yesterday that they found something very significant in the bag.

This is my first thread, so please be kind and feel free to delete if you feel it's repetitive, but I got to thinking this would be nice to see all thoughts!

For me, I don't think it was butter knife that was in the car. We have CA's word on that, I think it was a sharper knife to cut duct tape. Thus, I also think of course they are looking for duct tape and garbage bags as well.

I also think they are collecting fibers from the carpet in the house, as those would again most likely be caught on the duct tape.

Re: the butter knife.... it's in one of the early document dumps that it was indeed a butter knife that was removed from the car.

Surely her hair would still be there.I also think that's why the duct tape stayed around her head.Maybe there is still tissue on the duct tape.

He said is it possible that false bits of information about the find will be leaked through the media to see if KC refutes it... then they will know she was involved? Makes me wonder about the duct tape.... because I've been trying to figure out how duct tape would be around a skull. We have to assume that it was around a head with flesh first. It would have fallen away.

The vacuum cleaners have me intrigued. I wondered a while ago on this forum why they were not seized earlier, because if the trunk had been cleaned (which I believe Casey did on the 20th after putting Caylee in the bag), more "death band" hairs would be found in the vacuum's bag.

It is 6 months later. Surely the bags are long gone.

Unless...the ones used to clean the car were found with Caylee...

Me, too. I've been wondering about this since last night. What, when examining the contents of the bag, could jump out and cause LE to run off to get a search warrant for the house? Something very tangible and obvious.

They just said at the emergency hearing that they believe it is Caylee because the HAIR is the same color!! Soooo the tape was probably stuck to it!!

That's right. Sociopath's have no emotions at all. They only thing of self first. Look at Scott Peterson.. He's a perfect example of how they can kill with no remorse or emotion. I believe that Casey is much more evil then we all had thought to begin with.

The most salient item mentioned so far on this thread for recovered item is pesticide tanks. I recall I saw on some CSI show variant that a body was sprayed with pesticide to keep insects away and delay it's detection.

I will throw in an unrelated thought that the shovel was used to add ballast to the bag to make it dense enough to sink in water, and duct tape to compress the bag around the contents for the same purpose.

If both of these are true the body may much more well preserved than one would think otherwise.

Does anybody think that Casey would have so methodically and meticulously wrapped Caylee up, sprayed, cleaned the car,... and then left the dirty clothes, knife,.. whatever else, inside the car? This has just never sounded quite right to me.
Couldn't that pesticide have been used to kill the maggots, too?
I posted months ago that unimagined horrors awaited us upon the discovery of poor little Caylee and I'm so sorry to see this all unfold so gruesomely.

Does anybody know if the marriage thing between Cindy and George legally protect them from not incriminating each other? I keep thinking about George's message to Lee on the night of the 16th, saying get over to the house- I'm worried about your mother. Because of her cleaning rampage?

I have been wondering what this item(s) could possibly be. It could be just about anything or several things, but the first thing that popped in my mind were the pavers in the A's back yard. LE was seen taking photos back there last night and if she was under water for awhile then she was probably weighted down with something. Just a thought

I can't wait to see KC's face for the first time! GA and CA too. I hope the search warrant people didn't wipe their feet after all the rain/mud/etc because LE now has the vacuum cleaners - LOL!

Maybe she drowned her in the tub and then put her in the bag. But that still doesn't explain the duct tape, unless the duct tape was just on the bag itself and not the skull. I don't know. No scenario I can come up with is explainable. I have completely ruled out the accident / panicking scenario. This B!tch flat out premeditated her own child's murder and then tried to cover it up. I hope they reinstate the DP!

I am wondering if Caylee was at first placed alive in the trunk and then Casey had sedated her, and put duct tape around her mouth in case she awoke and made noise. She then died. Or another thought was the duct tape was in essence an attempt to make it look like a kidnapping and killing after the fact. (after she'd already done the deed!)

That's what I'm thinking too, the cross. Would she really be stupid enough to leave a note or photo that could be tied directly to her, though?

The croos necklace for Caylee has always bothered me. If KC truly didn't want this baby, then why give her a cross. A cross to me represents first of all Christ, but also, unconditional love, forgiveness and peace. Those things she didn't feel for Caylee. Do we know for sure that she did give the second one to her, or was it given to a "lover" as matching jewelry. Please forgive my mental lapse here.

I totally agree JMommy- It's hard for most of us to even go there, we keep trying to think how she could do these things, but we're thinking using our conscience, and our guilt feelings that we would have. She doesn't feel remorse. Remember "everyone lies. Everyone dies." Even as her daughter's body was being found yesterday, she was ordering things from the jail commisary like Reese's cups and granola bars. No remorse.

Actually it would have the opposite effect..........it would preserve the flesh.

I think they were in the backyard looking at the sandbox. My first thought a while ago was that she hid Caylee in the covered sandbox.
