..I know the feeling...LOL.

Despite the scholarships, she want to change her name to Dr. she did a lot of pre med stuff as technically she had the credits to graduate back in the first part of the school year.
awesome ! my daughter wants to major in forensics..you can only imagine how excited I am for her!

How very sad. You know, the very least PR could have done was admit this on her death bed. At that point, what did she have to lose? Why not come clean? Another very senseless murder, with no one taking accountability. I've always believe it was someone from the family, but not convinced exactly who. Sadly, I haven't really studied/read much about this case in years, and probably have forgotten more than I ever knew about it. I guess I just kinda gave up that justice would ever prevail on this one. PR is gone, so can't convict her now. Unless at some point Burke decides to tell all, I guess there's no way we'll ever really know what happened this innocent child. How sad.

PR could be protecting someone (her son?) but I think the person she was most likely protecting was herself. Yes, of course we would all have loved some kind of statement from PR pr JR, but if she had confessed- that your leave JR culpable for helping to stage the crime, tampering with a corpse, lying to LE; though it isn't illegal to lie to LE, just despicable. It is only illegal to lie under oath. And that requires a trial. And a trial requires a DA with guts and moral strength.
Then again, from her point of view, why confess? They'd gotten away with it for 10 years. They were home free. She had nothing to gain, because there was no pressure on them. She can remain forever the mother of a murdered beauty queen. I'd have loved to be there to "see" her reaction when she realized that she would not actually be going where her daughter was.

I believe that since she feels she did not mean for this to happen it was a matter between her and God and thats that ....By now I rest fairly assured that the word repentance means something.

PR could also have convinced herself that she didn't do it. You know what they say- when people tell a lie so often and for so long, they actually begin to forget that it's a lie. They begin to believe it.
But I actually agree with your thought. That she knew "in her heart" that she didn't do it. They didn't mean for it to happen. And you know, that part is true.

JR said in an interview on LKL after Patsy died when asked if she went peacefully that he didn't know, they hoped she did . She was in a coma and at the end she had an accelerated heartbeat and they hoped she wasn't in pain. I prefer to think that at the end she had an accelerated heartbeat because she saw JonnieB and she was coming to help her over to the other side.
I believe it's all about love ,no matter what, in the end.

could be,my other thought on that is what she really meant was 'in her heart, she knew she didn't *mean to do this'.So if she was trying to convince herself she didn't mean to do it...that makes me wonder if she really *did mean to do it.

Okay, so if Patsy has been up for some 16 hours at 10:00 p.m .that night and she has had a couple of glasses of wine and we all know that she is taking some kind of barbituate because the woman could not speak on CNN a week later and that is someone who says I need more, I need more and that is someone who is use to taking them and does not realize that she is slurring her words. So she is a user.
Patsy said the chemo affected her liver which is why she drank very little alcohol.

But her housekeeper Linda Hoffman Pugh said Patsy loved her Chardonnay wine and always kept a bottle of it in the fridge.
So it seems Patsy was far from being a near-teetotaler.
Who knows if she didnt pour herself a nightcap at home after already having had wine at the Whites' party - and this may have been just a bit too much, making her snap and lose it with JonBenet later ...

What is so repulsive about both Ramseys was their cruel atttempt to throw innocent people under the bus just to save their own hide.

yes,and even sick ppl like Santa Bill.
If all JR was guilty of is a cover-up,I would have expected him to not point the finger at their friends, and if Patsy had done so anyway, you'd think he would have said something like,'no,honey, those are our friends...they wouldn't do that'.But nope...not a word. Not even so much as an apology when they were cleared. That's not even being an adult,IMO.

Posting after a long period of monitoring...

If Patsy did it, John must know. How can he live with himself?

gigantic sized ego,and I think he's reasoned it out in his own mind,by thinking it was ok to save Patsy,as well as not taking BR's mom away from him;and of course....his family name and reputation.

Its bad enough that they got away with it...could they could have done so without throwing anyone under the bus? I am not sure. One of the first things JR said to Linda Arndt on bringing JBR up from the basement was to comment that "this was an inside job". I believe he said that because he knew there WAS no evidence of an intruder- he tried almost immediately to implicate someone who was familiar with the family, the house, and who may have had a key. You can do what you can to make it SEEM like an intruder- mention a broken window or a splintered door frame (both of which were done long before the murder), you can deny owning the flashlight, the pineapple in your own fridge (how nice of the intruder to buy her favorite fruit- how did a SFF EVER know that?) deny owning the bowl that it is in, the box of kleenex, and the list goes on. But BOTTOM LINE- there was not ONE piece of evidence that pointed to a stranger or someone NOT a R. Every hair, fiber, print (palm and finger) belonged to one of the Rs.

I had an imbalance after the bleeds into the brain and strokes I took one Klondipin low dose once a day for about 6 months to help with the anxiety of the disabilties and trying to rehab. I am better off without anything as it turns out. I am still anxious about ever going througn something like that again. But I will say I never have drank alcohol all the Klondipin did was perhaps help with making sleep a little easier.

I, too..have taken Klonopin....but only for about a week. I don't drink...so I didn't combine it with alcohol...it just made me sleepy. If it IS combined with alcohol though...and this is coming from experience...its like you are severly intoxicated! SOOOO...Patsy could have taken her usual dosage...and only had two or three drinks...but, it would have intoxicated her like she had of drank way more than that. It TOTALLY alters a person's personality.

JMO,

I think Patsy was a daily user of xanax and klonopin or any kind of anxiety reducing drug. She had to be using these drugs during her cancer treatments because how can you survive - it is horrendous. But I do not think she stopped - I know she told one of the detectives, possibly Thomas, or it might have been Kane that she had an anxiety attack after the murder and that she ran to a doctor who told her that is what it was. What is Patsy an idiot that she cannot tell that she is having an anxiety attack. It, imo, was her way of covering her drug use. John said he had no idea that she was using Xanax when Kane asked, yes it was Kane.

John has no idea that his wife who is suspected of killing his daughter, he has no idea that she is taking xanax. And yet they never suspected each other of this horrible crime because they know each other too well and became even closer after it. :bang:

There is NO WAY that John didn't know that Patsy took Xanax. NO WAY!

We can thank Linda Arndt and a few idiot others for us not knowing what happened.

When my husband took too many Xanax....(yes..I will admit, he used to abuse them horribly)...he would slur like that too. And it would get on my nerves SO BAD...that I would make fun of him. He looked and sounded like an IDIOT. And usually he was picking fights with either me or my kids while he was doing it. For sure...Patsy was a user.. I am married to one, so I should know.
