I was sent another site with picture that are beyond graphic. One of them appears to me to be that poor little baby boy. If it is, I believe he was pretty much standing on the bomb when it went off.

Use caution, these pictures are brutal and nauseating to see.

I'm not aiming this at anybody in particular -- but could you guys please keep in mind that these photos show people who may be friends or family members of WS members and people who are reading here? I didn't really know Krystle, but I think I remember her from the Summer Shack.

These are our friends and neighbors, our family members.

You've been good about warnings and all that, but it seems like there are far more pointers than are really necessary.

i agree. if this is not a doctored photo this is obviously the 3rd fatality and not a child.

ETA. and if this is the 3rd fatality his condiotion may be why we have no positive ID yet. he appears to be a runner.

If you are referring to the photo of the body in the street that is basically unrecognizable -- the lower leg is fine and the blast targeted the upper body which is typical for suicide bombers. That is the opposite of what happened to the Boston bomb victims.

The photo looks like something that would come out of Iraq except for the center line painted in the road (not sure if that is common in Iraq).

that was my initial thought as well. but there seems to be no indication of that....yet

Could the person or people have stayed on the other side to watch the bombs go off and take photos or video? I have a feeling the person stayed to watch the carnage. Anyone who makes a bomb, to me, wants to see it go off. JMO

I think the FBI needs to collect all the video and photos from the people who finished the race the earliest to check for anyone depositing bags near the finish line. To me, it looks like the first bomb went off in the actual race track area and not in the stands and the second bomb went off in the stands. So the person who dropped off the bag (first bomb) would be more likely to be captured on film, IMO.

Which could be why the authorities are asking for all pictures. Because they want to see who is in the crowds of people, in case the bomber is there watching.

neither bomb went off in the stands. the only stands were in front of the library. 1st bomb went off directly across the street from stands closest to finish line. 2 nd went off in the direction of the race. ie prior to finish line.
