Of course I had to google it, apparently the instructions were featured 2 yeas ago in an online magazine called "Inspire" published by one of the Al Qaeda leaders. I assume it was published in Arabic and English? Or just Arabic?

In the Time article I posted above, they mention that the Inspire magazine articles were also passed along online on anarchist and white supremist sites/groups, calling the articles "good reading". :what:

So really, any group or lone wolf could have had instructions on how to make one.

Right now you can bet tens of thousands are googling bomb making and pressure cooker bombs because it is all over the MSM. I wouldn't be the slightest bit worried about googling it the day AFTER.

The Ricin is probably not related to these bombers just like the Anthrax letters were not related to 9/11 (except other than exciting other terror types). These sorts of events brings the crazies out of the woodwork.

Oh dear God. I wish I hadn't looked... This is effing horrific. I had just stopped crying after telling DH about the 8-yr-old boy's 6-yr-old sister losing a leg - and how it hit me hard today because our DD is almost 6. There is nothing she likes to do more than run and run and jump and climb and run some more. And the thought of it being her just caused me to break down.

DH said the fact that someone did this on purpose makes it much harder to bear than if it had been an accident. At times like this, I start thinking back to an eye for an eye...

yep. i think both bombs/bags were tucked under mailboxes.

The 2001 anthrax letters were almost certainly the work of a lone American terrorist. The ricin letters were mailed two years after 9/11, in October and November 2003.

The thing about the pictures, both the real and the doctored ones, is that you cant un-see them once you look. So be ready. Be really ready. There is nothing to compare it to for most people and the images are going to stay in your mind.
