I'd just like to say those belittling the kids/folks from the 4 can site that's combing over the pics need to give them room to conjecture just like we do here. Yes they'll wiff on the pics but they just might hit on something and more importantly at least they are trying and seem to be knee deep in doing so.

Don't forget that that's the same site that spawned and harbors the hacking group Anonymous so you're not dealing with dummies.

Some pictures of the seconds after the first blast that I hadn't seen yet.

I can pick out Krystle and her friend, but no one else.

I'm sure you all have discussed this but...isn't it odd that the male in those pictures with pants ripped to shorts in the middle of the first frame is running away from everyone? Obviously he could be freaked and thinks he needs to get away...but he just high tails it....

Also I haven't wanted to look at any victim photos...but could you tell me what Krystle is wearing....I'm scared to start looking at pictures as I don't want the horror in my mind...but I wanted to figure out the positioning of the people in the pre-explosion pictures....

Briefing "soon", according to globe

I've noticed a couple things in the pictures following the blast. Some people are running away and/or screaming. Some people are running into it, and helping the injured. And then there are a few who appear to have no reaction at all and just calmly walk away. I can't judge how I'd react, but it strikes me as odd that those few have no reaction at all.

In the last pics I posted the link to, there is one woman who appears to be talking on her cell, and it even looks like she puts her other hand up to her other ear to hear better. No reaction on her face, and she just walks out of the frame in the series of pics.

The other thing I noticed, and I know it's been mentioned before, is how quickly the sidewalk cleared.

I do not find it strange that he is running (actually quite a few people are running away). If a terrifying event occurs, I think a lot of people would instinctually run to get as far away from it as possible. In all of the photos that I have looked at though, he is not someone I recognize from other photos.

I am not sure that I see Krystle and her friend in these photos, I think they may be blocked by the window frame. They were up against the fencing, laying down right next to it. Krystle was wearing a royal blue shirt and jeans. Her friend was wearing black and had a light blue and white handbag.

People respond differently to trauma. Some people are in shock, it's their bodies way to cope.

The FBI is focused on people carrying bags and backpacks because they found evidence that a bag or backpack was used.

They are focused on people moving through the blast area before the explosion because, well, that's what bombers do when they place a bomb. Put it down, move along.

They are looking for people with bags, then without bags because non-bombers don't just leave their bags behind and bombers do.

They are looking for heavy sagging bags vs. light bags, which are different, because bombs are heavy and the bags they are carried in sag more than bags with light cargo. See here: Gravitation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

They are looking for people who look "different" because bombers are different: they are planting bombs while others are not.

But don't worry, I'm sure they are passing on potential suspects who are carrying the magic altoids and orange juice, who's fresh breath and healthy immune systems will make them impossible to detect and prosecute.

Great post, I'm actually impressed beyond belief that they are able to narrow it down so quickly.

The only thing I'm confused about is how the Mailbox sustained no damage if the bomb wss sitting right next to it? It also looked really obviously out of place.

I'm thinking those two men with the black backpacks look like they are dressed alike and part of a team. They seem to be dressed much more warmly than the others.

I will be following to see how this unfolds. And kudos to the online sleuthers pouring over photographs to sort it out.

The lady with the cell didn't bother me. Some people immediately go into "get the job done" mode in an emergency. Most likely calling 911. Then the shock comes later.

The others with blank faces may be in shock already, just stunned.

Thank you Hollye.....Yes I would have no idea how I would react...so I'm sure the range of actions and emotions are vast...and you are very correct.

Thank you also for the information on her and her friends clothing...
