I've noticed a couple things in the pictures following the blast. Some people are running away and/or screaming. Some people are running into it, and helping the injured. And then there are a few who appear to have no reaction at all and just calmly walk away. I can't judge how I'd react, but it strikes me as odd that those few have no reaction at all.

In the last pics I posted the link too, there is one woman who appears to be talking on her cell, and it even looks like she puts her other hand up to her other ear to hear better. No reaction on her face, and she just walks out of the frame in the series of pics.

The other thing I noticed, and I know it's been mentioned before, is how quickly the sidewalk cleared.

A few people are just standing with their hands on their ears, I know people had ruptured ear drums from the blast so it was probably a reaction to the pain.

In honestly I don't see anything unnatual in those pics. In response to such trauma people are generally stunned, dazed and just waiting for someone to tell them what to do. Other people just run, it doesn't matter where they just get away as fast as possible. Then there are those who go into 'combat' mode where they channel out the danger and just begin treating others.

I remember a woman in the London Bombings talkling about the shock and its impact on her initially. She said even though there were dead and injured people around her, all that she could think of was to find her handbag. At that time it was all she said she could think of or care about. Shock is such a strange thing.

I'm sure you all have discussed this but...isn't it odd that the male in those pictures with pants ripped to shorts in the middle of the first frame is running away from everyone? Obviously he could be freaked and thinks he needs to get away...but he just high tails it....

Also I haven't wanted to look at any victim photos...but could you tell me what Krystle is wearing....I'm scared to start looking at pictures as I don't want the horror in my mind...but I wanted to figure out the positioning of the people in the pre-explosion pictures....

Very graphic pics....Warning to everyone...

I didn't mean that there was anything unnatural, just that I thought it was odd that there are some people who react instantly, whether it be flight or fight, and other's don't appear to react at all. I've never been in a situation like that, so I have no idea at all how I would react. For all I know, I'd be the one just standing there.

I think people probably took off in panic realizing they where in danger and afraid they would lose there lives, or that something else might happen so they where trying to get away from it. I think I would have probably done the same. Also as graphic as it was people may have seen the injurys of others and become more scared.
I think the suspect or suspects where probably looking through a window or on top of a building or something watching it go down, or had done left the scene. I don't see them or he/she standing on the ground with the victims because there cowards and only thinking about themselves and afraid they too could be hurt but then again they could have. Just my thoughts.

I do not find it strange that he is running (actually quite a few people are running away). If a terrifying event occurs, I think a lot of people would instinctually run to get as far away from it as possible. In all of the photos that I have looked at though, he is not someone I recognize from other photos.

I am not sure that I see Krystle and her friend in these photos, I think they may be blocked by the window frame. They were up against the fencing, laying down right next to it. Krystle was wearing a royal blue shirt and jeans. Her friend was wearing black and had a light blue and white handbag.

Krystle and Karen are visible in the fourth picture down, right at the fence in front of the lady with the pink vest. This bomb must really have had a straight forward blast to be able to kill Krystle and leave the woman literally beside her standing mostly unscathed.

I hope they really do have their guy.

Btw, very irresponsible of whatever network it was to say "dark skinned individual" and nothing else. Way to give the fearful and angry unnecessary fuel for their rage, and what if it turns out to be false, since there has been no official word from LE yet? :sigh:

Investigators believe they have identified a suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings, a source who has been briefed on the investigation told CNN's John King.

The source said what officials believe is a breakthrough came from analysis of video from a department store near the site of the second explosion. Video from a Boston television station also contributed to the progress, this source said.

From that analysis, the source said, authorities believe that they have identified a suspect.

The source declined to be more specific but called it a significant development.

BBM

This is the part I want to know. It seems it blasted straight out the sides from all the harm done. However, a lid was found on a roof.

So, how did it blow? I guess out and up. From the footage it seems to have blasted a bit up, and out on one side, the side facing the street.

I obviously know nothing about how bombs work.
