Might want to check your reporting. :seeya:

The headline has been fixed.
Before it said: "Ex-wife confessed in DA deaths"

Now it says:
Officials: "Ex-judge's wife confessed in DA deaths"

To those of you with either educated or experienced based information tell me...

If a suspect is in custody and brought into Federal Court, are they already under arrest?

Or are they still considered just in custody until after being seen in court??

Would not be seen in Court on day of arrest. That comes later.

Anyone see the video of van rushing into the courthouse with armed guy hanging off the side, official plate, tinted windows? I will be SHOCKED if there isn't a suspect in that van. CNN: "When they bring a suspect in under armed guard, this is the entrance they use.."

Unless the van was rushed in to rush someone out in response to the bomb threat. :-/

Believe they are considered arrested but not arraigned until brought before the judge.

I don't think it is the suspect. IMO. They wouldn't evacuate, and bring in my bomb trucks, and all this if they were bringing the suspect to court. That and they wouldn't be bringing him to court the exact same day he was arrested, and it would probably be an earlier court appt for the suspect, not the afternoon.

WCVB: US Marshalls due to bomb threat recieved at court house

do you think they cleared everyone out and already have the suspect and are bringing him in so they can announce at 5pm they have him in custody???

anyone watching here

http://livewire.wcvb.com/Event/117th_Running_of_Boston_Marathon

Interesting info they are talkin about.

Van being backed into court house may/could have suspect in it.

i watched it back in....definitely the actions of that van speeding to back into the courthouse makes me think there was someone in there. Armed guard riding on the side of the van like on the step bars.

I wonder if the evac was a distraction to get in there unnoticed :waitasec:

No, Court received a bomb threat.

If they claimed a bomb threat to evacuate... to bring a suspect in, people are going to be MAD.
They could have evacuated without saying a bomb threat. That scared the crap out of people.
They are not going to be happy if it was a lie.

I would find it hard to believe they would roll out the fire and bomb squad if it was to bring in a suspect.

100 police cars? I would absolutely think that.

But I don't think that Local or Federal LE would waste the money to do a large roll out if there wasn't cause. I could be wrong of course!

US Marshal's office says the evacuation at the federal courthouse was due to a bomb threat. The building is being swept at this time.

These guys are being very careful and accurate.
It's pretty obvious from the video that it isn't clear.

http://boston.cbslocal.com/live-video/

They have always been the least sensational, and IMO best of the three Boston networks. Jack Williams is a longtime anchor, and very good (I grew up with Jack and Liz on every evening, as other locals may remember the pair together, excellent reporting).

Channel 7 (whdh) tends to be pretty sensationalistic.

I think it's possible they brought a suspect in, but I also think there was really a bomb threat. :twocents:
The two could have occurred at the same time, or the threat could have been made by the suspect.
