Wow whoever posted that on 4chan that these people were suspects are idiots. They took this photo of AFTER the bomb and cut those 2 men out of it and said it was from before the attack and that they should be suspects. I just don't understand why people have to stir up falsities when it's so obvious. That entire pic I looked was a waste of time, should have known when a woman's butt was labeled as da bomb. SO STUPID :furious:

A $50,000 reward up. Googled, that started yesterday. Seems to me a lot of people would come forward, but that may help. Didn't see any note of it on here though. Also want to give a huge shout out of thanks to those offering it, all they have already done in this tragedy, and wishing them the best in coping. Send in your tips!!!

So glad to have a name now for Jeff. I will pray for him. this is so horrible and at the same time so completely frustrating since I know there is no punishment great enough for the actions that caused so much agony!

Sorry, I haven't had much sleep and for a moment forgot that no one has been apprehended. I would assume the bomber would take the remotes back with him or destroy them as they would be evidence.

I hope the LE are on to something. I wonder what would give them pause to think about someone looking down at their phone. I mean there had to be hundreds of people probably looking at their phones in this social media era at the times the bombs went off.

Wow! On MSNBC just now, maybe it isn't new news but the lid of the pressure cooker was found on the roof of one of the buildings. Also showed a video from within the crowd at the first bomb, and then can hear the explosion of the second bomb.

I think a suicide bomber can definitely be ruled out.
We have 3 innocent victims here who were not bombers.
We have many injured innocent people.

We have law enforcement looking for a suspect...
obviously he isn't dead or in the hospital which means he wasn't a suicide bomber. :twocents:

Well to be fair, we don't know for a fact that the "suspect" they are/were looking for isn't laying in a hospital right now.

But you are most likely right. It was just my first impression from the report "bag strapped to his chest".

Something to think about as you are personally considering stories that are being reported-LE will plant stories to find their leaks. For example, I might be told that there has been an arrest, I run to the Globe and when they air the "scoop" from an unnamed source, my boss will figure out it is me.

He says Boston Police and the FBI came to his Roslindale home and questioned him about the bombing. When they left, they took some items.

Your post made me realize the bombs were triggered with the parts from a hobby R/C car. When I looked at the bomb component photos released by the FBI and I discovered that the circuit remnants are not from timers, but from the wireless receiver and motor speed control boards of a remote control toy car/plane/helicopter.

What we discovered last night was that
1. There were two different model R/C transmitter receivers used
2. Depending on the design, these remotes can work from up to 1000 ft and beyond.
3. It would be fairly easy to modify an R/C car to detonate the bomb. All you'd have to do is disconnect the drive motor and in its place put a model rocket ignitor or glow plug.

Based on this information you can expect that:
-The perpetrator(s) were in relative proximity to the bombs when they detonated
-The remote transmitters would have to be concealed on their person (either in a bulky jacket, or another bag)
- They most likely procured two R/C cars and scavenged the battery, tx/rx units, and motor speed control boards, throwing out the motors/wheels/cases. A lot of the key parts for this device, including/glow plugs and ignitors can be purchased at a hobby shop.

An RC car is what James Holmes used in one of his bombs he set up outside his apartment.

Good point. Notice anyone suddenly break out in a sweat next to you, hands begin to tremble, suddenly have to leave work. That kind of thing.

i read yesterday that two brothers each lost a leg in this incident. An interview with their mother stated they were construction workers who had been recently laid off. What is going to happen as concerns their medical needs now and far in the future? Is there some sort of Federal funding that will aid victims of terrorism? I hope there is something for these brothers and others who may be in life situation that doesn't allow them to be able to afford medical coverage (some medical coverages have a waiver that acts of terrorism is not covered, or at least it used to be that way). Any info anyone?

Another member here posted this guy a few pages back - can't remember who. IMHO, he's the leading candidate. He is standing right beside Lord & Taylors in an alley across from where the 2nd bomb exploded. He is standing almost exactly equidistant between the 2 bombs. He'd be in a safe position to watch both detonate. He also appears to be using a cell phone.

I worry about all of the victims in this way. Immediate medical bills. Loss of limbs limits employment opportunities, much less all the physical therapy, mental therapy, you name it, all those lives severely changed and considerably more expensive. Any with brain damage, IDK, I just worry about them. Hopefully we will hear about any care soon as they are doing well enough to go home.
