Face eating tumor

You may have seen disturbing pictures in the past, but I think this has them all beat. This man suffered for over 40 years with a tumor that has taken over his face. Why? Because his religion forbid him to go to surgery and fix it. Sad.

I think I would find it difficult to stay faithful to a God that I truly believed would want me to suffer to this extent, when there is a way to fix it.

He said he was afraid to leave the comfort of his mask - having to face the world. That's sad. Maybe he feels like he doesn't have control over anything in his life, and this is the ONE thing he does have control over.
