On the other hand... social media provides a way to ensnare those who may be planning to drive a truck into innocent shoppers.
People don't realize nearly everything you post can be read by another party.
E.g.; To abbreviate -- we bought a kitten from a rescue and the owner directed us to message her on her personal FB if we were interested in the sibling if it went unsold.
Holy cow. Talk about putting your personal information out there ! I messaged her to let her know we we'd buy the brother kitten and to let us know.
But meanwhile-- found out about info. that most people would keep private.
Smh.
Let's say someone posts incriminating evidence on their FB or other sm, and sets it to "private". If certain parties wish to read it-- rest assured they will -- as in homeland Security or a national security admin.
Very few people communicate solely through speech alone, and everyone has a phone.
My .02 is to let anyone with evil intentions "share" their plans with others .. then act on them in time to stop a tragedy.
