The grandkids are “bedazzling” their face masks. They seem to like their version better and are wearing them.

Do you think that masks have reached a 'saturation point' where most people that have one if they want one. (Maybe not multiples or fancy ones, but a bare minimum?)
Not in Illinois where I’m still seeing requests. And probably not in most states hat now have a mask mandate. Now, the entire population needs them in those states. A lot of people were in denial and did not plan ahead even when they saw other states requiring masks.

I counted up the number I can remember giving away, and I have made at least 175 masks to date. Rest homes and cancer centers are still asking for them. Now I have old classmates asking me to make them for their parents. I’m now breaking my rule about not going to the post office so I can occasionally mail some. I’m working on more for my co-workers. We had a meeting yesterday and the mask my boss was wearing kept falling down. He finally commented on how my mask was staying put, so I offered to make him some.

Is anyone making the surgical caps? I watched a couple videos today and they're really easy. I'm thinking I may try one and make a matching mask. At the cancer center, they have a bone marrow transplant unit. You're allowed to leave caps for patients. I'm thinking I'd put the cap and mask in a gallon baggie.

I like this one because it accommodates long hair and uses just a little elastic. It doesn't need a pattern either.

My mom got bored and went into her attic to look for more fabric. After being shocked by the mount she has squirreled away up there, she ran across what was left of my granny’s stash of fabric. She sent it down to me via her lift chair.

I decided, since all of us kids recognize the different fabrics from clothes she made for herself, grandpa, and us, that it would be cool to make masks for my siblings from these remnants. I started that project today. It will be kind of like her protecting us a bit.

That's a WONDERFUL idea. We just came across a dress from when my dd was a toddler... she said, "what am I going to do with it?" I'll take one last picture of it and make it useful again.

Oh I’m definitely allergic to cats!! Along with nearly everything else. Grass, trees, food, etc.

ETA: I donated a bunch of fabric to the local sewing guild that was hosting a sewing camp for kids. They were very appreciative!
I may be allergic to kitties in real life but I can sew with kitties!

I had to make the fish one and the teal for my oldest.

No one in Michigan is making them? Where are people buying them from? Send me a PM of what your looking for.

If they are, they aren’t letting it be known, I have yet to find even one person making masks.

Do you have Facebook? A quick post there may get you a bunch of replies about locals making them.

So, this is annoying. Our Governor is starting up Farmers Market, only for food.

What about mask makers? Everywhere you go now, requires a mask. I wanna buy some...and no cute ones to be found. Why can't our clever mask makers be allowed at the Farmer's Market?!
