Parents can say whatever they want but I'm not required to believe anything they say.

Her sister is an adult. She speaks for herself.

They don't have any information on her treatments after she was removed by DCF.

Removed from where?

Yes, I am sure it is. Parents actually trying to get all of the info out in the open through freedom of information act.

FoI doesn't pertain to medical records.

Their custody. They don't have any information on Justina's treatment after DCF removed her from their custody.

The judge gave DCF custody.

That's not true that they don't know what her treatment is. The parents know exactly what she's being treated for.

I know when I was referred to another hospital to see a specific specialist, when I got there, he was expecting me!

Did you arrive via ambulance at the ER? lol

Knowing what she is being treated for (somatoform, we all know what DCF claims she has) doesn't mean they know how she is being treated for it.

It was very wasteful of you to agree to see a specialist in another hospital, no less. Didn't the hospital you were in already had one of those specialists?

Nope. It was offered though. I had my husband drive me.

truth be told, ambulance was offered only IMO because they had made a mistake.

Of course they do. Their talking points have grown to beyond ridiculous in light of the Judge's enlightening opinion about the real facts of this case, imo.

My orthopedic wasn't available. I saw his partner who happened to be working at another hospital. They both have privileges at several hospitals.
It wasn't wasteful, it was an emergency, a mistake was made earlier in the day when I had surgery. It was a minor mistake but one that needed to be rectified immediately.

Fine. BCH claims she has somatoform. By agreeing with BCH, DCF claims it and so does the judge.

So I guess it is possible to be referred to another hospital in case of medical emergency in order to see a specialist. Who knew?

Hospitals do screw up but I don't believe Justina is a result of any hospital error.

What do you believe the judge based his opinion on?

Let me be perfectly clear here. In my case ( I don't even remember why I'm discussing this) the hospital did not refer me. I called my orthopedics office...his office contacted his partner because my ortho had flown out of the country for vacation. His office informed his partner.
I was instructed by the partner to enter through the emergency department and to call him when I was 5 minutes away. When I arrived, he was waiting for me. I didn't sign in... Nothing... I was immediately taken back and the problem was corrected.

In Justina's case, she was supposed to go to BCH to see Dr. Flores at suggestion of Dr. Korson. Dr. Flores was her GI specialist.
But for whatever reason that didn't happen and some neurology doctor saw her instead. What is so unbelievable about that?
Her adult sister has mitochondrial disease and is being treated for it at Tuft's by Dr. Korson. Her sister actually had the muscle biopsy done.
