The parents claimed the Judge only listened to BCH and claimed the doctor never examined Justina after she arrived at BCH. Both claims are baseless and totally unbelievable. I'm just waiting for their free lawyers to finally realize the parents are right wing nuts.

The only reason this has come down to politics is because the left sees the involvement of the conservative media and organizations that have come forward to help as the proof it is right wing. The liberal media hasn't given coverage though Lou said Anderson Cooper had contacted him but it has never been aired. Is this an illustration of who the true good guys are in our country? I think so.

But DCF is capable of taking care of her needs? How are they capable, exactly? They got a large number of well documented problems. I have no idea why they seemed to have zeroed in on Justina, but for whatever reason they spend an enormous amount of money on her. And don't appear to have much to show for it, as she isn't running around singing happy songs while in their custody.

Well if that's the criterion a large number of horribly abused children should have been left with their abusers since they didn't all start running around singing happy songs while in foster care.

JMO but I think conspiracy theories are a little counterproductive for the parents' cause as an appearance of paranoia tends to give an unstable, erratic impression and that's what they probably should avoid if they want the court to believe that they can provide a stable environment for Justina.

The Boston Globe is biased against the family. They are loyal to Harvard and BCH.

I'm biased against child abuse and unfit parents who cause it and then blame everybody else. Trying to posture it as a pro-life issue when it clearly is not spells S-C-A-M.

all, just my opinion.

The public opinion Daddy was counting on to "win" until the Judge shut down the sale of his snake oil and declared him an unfit parent.

02/10/2014
"A Facebook page was set up to fund raise for the Pelletier family and has more than 4,000 "likes." It says that authorities have "exerted unchallenged control over all aspects of Justina's health care and her life" and "executed the traumatic separation of Justina from her family, friends."

"We are David, not against Goliath, but against two Goliaths –- Boston Children's Hospital and the State of Massachusetts," Lou Pelletier told ABCNews.com. "To me it's a hopeless cause and the only way to win is in the court of public opinion."

03/25/2014:
The judge’s ruling reinforces his earlier decision that the state child protection agency met its burden, during closed-door juvenile court hearings late last year, of proving the Pelletiers were unfit to handle their child’s complex needs and should not be restored custody of their child.

No, horribly abused children shouldn't be left with their abuser. Although DCF has done just that on number of occasions.
But this is not the case with Justina, is it?
I haven't seen a shred of evidence she was somehow abused.

I'm pretty disgusted at these parents' blatant exploitation of their daughter in an attempt to raise money from those who foolishly part with their money to sham religious causes. Religion has absolutely nothing to do with the decision of the Judge or DCF or the Hospital and yet the family continues their public campaign of deception.

The Pelletier family was not allowed to visit their daughter on Easter Sunday.

Justina was taken to a church on Saturday, but not with the parents. She was allowed a Sunday visit but not in church. The parents had requested Justina be allowed to attend Easter Sunday church service with them. Saturday is the first time Justina has been in a church since she was taken, and also she was denied a visit from a priest in the hospital. There is no other reason for them to keep her totally isolated from others except for protecting themselves from what she will divulge to others about the way they treat her. They won't let her speak publicly? Why? She hasn't even spoken to the judge. Why would he not want to hear from her?

This case has not come down to politics and it never will be about politics. It is and always has been about unfit parents and medical professionals and a taxpayer-funded child protection system doing its job and protecting the child from her unfit parents.

Anderson Cooper is capable of seeing an agenda as are most of the rest of us.

There is no shortage of stories or fights going on.
A simple google of the terms "fight CPS" yields countless examples.

I am speaking specifically about Muchasen and medical abuse allegations and reason for taking children, not the typical reason kids are taken, though there are thousands of parents who feel their child was taken unjustly, I am sure.

This sounds very ominous but what did they need another one for, exactly?

It is certainly not previously unheard of that parents fight custody decisions in court or make a public fuss.

Research.

Oooh the media is part of the vast conspiracy now too?

So this is what happens every time BCH "needs another one"? All of the conspirators come together, form a team, and devise their evil plan?

It loyalty and bias in my opinion, not conspiracy.

If organization spend million or more to keep the child in a psychiatric ward, at least I would have liked to see some positive results.

Again, people seem to lose sight of the fact this child does not have any rights that any of us have including foster children. She has less rights than convicted felons in prison. Why do the critics of the Pellitiers not realize this, and realize that is the real issue here. This child needs to be allowed to live her life in freedom and be cared for which she is not. She is declining in their custody.

Lol! The liberal media hasn't given coverage?! Do you live in the Boston area? The Globe is THE liberal paper in the state and has given this case extensive coverage!

You do realize that when you say "they are being used for research and experimentation!" What this really, in actuality means is that foster kids, wards of the state, etc, are to be given the same access to drug trials and experimental treatments (which, you know, have protocols you can read about) that the rest of us have. That they are not to be denied possible treatments simply because of family situation.

I would assume the Grandmother told them it was worse than what she witnessed of the Nazis. She wasn't a Jew but a citizen of Czecholslavakia so she wasn't taken to a concentration camp but lived under Nazi rule which I am sure wasn't pleasant. They may be using the Nazi analogy because of the research that is done on wards of the state. It is a fact that hospitals can and do use wards of the state for research. They are given drugs. Who profits from this? The drug companies and hospital of course. Whenever a child is taken into DCF custody they also reap financial benefits from Federal, state and local as well as child support parents are ordered to pay. When they adopt a child out they receive a substantial stipend in the local jurisdiction. Money, money money.

JMO but I don't think people putting forth these conspiracy theories precisely understand how clinical trials work. No drug companies would be likely to want Justina as a guinea pig imo. Usually clinical trials have a long list of exclusion criteria and children with a number of significant pre-existing problems including stroke, learning disability, inability to walk, a previous mito diagnosis, uncertainty about their diagnoses would be a no-no because they will screw up the results as there are so many confounding factors. The drug companies want positive results to show that their drug is effective for whatever it is being prescribed for and they're going to get worse results if they enroll children who are already significantly impaired for a variety of reasons to begin with and have a ton of things going on that aren't all likely to be cured or improved by any one drug.
Money money money.

I told you all at the beginning of this thread that we are secretly running a left wing operation up here in Mass wherein children are being kidnapped and being subjected to Nazi like medical experiments!! $&@. Clearly that is what is going on, and the on,y ones smart enough to recognize it are Michelle "Pray the gay away" Bachmann and anti-abortion religious groups! Oh and the liberal Boston Globe, but they don't count because they are biased against the parents!

Someone send help, please! I'm trapped here with my kids and can't get out! :floorlaugh: :banghead: :help: don't ask CT to help though, because though they might find my guardians to be neglectful, they don't want to help. :(

Patrick was once known as a civil rights activist. Can you imagine how quickly he’d leap into action if Dzhokhar Tsarnaev were being denied the ability to practice his Muslim faith?

And yet Patrick won’t pick up the phone to ensure that a harmless Catholic girl can practice hers.

There is something very wrong with Massachusetts.

How do you know she's declining in custody? To hear Lou tell it, she should be dead by now...yet she's not even hospitalized.

She was kept in the PSY ward so long because her own parents thwarted every attempt to move her out to a less restrictive environment.

"Treatment" for Mito is very simple and remains in place.

Her previous drug regimen included many drugs that were felt by this team to be medically unnecessary. She was over medicated and there zero coordination or oversight in her care.
