A Paramount, California family arranging the funeral of beloved Ubalda Aleman who had died of Alzheimer's, were shocked to discover she had already been buried - in place of another person, in another family's plot. Ubalda had to be exhumed and reburied, and now the family have launched a lawsuit against Rosecrans Funeral Home.
Evelina Barajas and her sister were preparing a wake and to take their mother's funeral clothes to the home when they got a call asking them to drop by. When they did, it was to discover their mom had already been buried by mistake without any of her family present. The home did apologise and doesn't have any history of previous complaints.
"My mom was the best mom, ever," Evelina Barajas said.
