She hasn't suffered since December 12th :banghead:

The TRO expires Monday at 5pm. I haven't seen a ruling to extend it, unless Dolan appeals again and they give the family another week. But... idk, it's been three weeks now, and they have claimed over and over that they have a) a facility willing to take her, b) transportation to said facility,c) doctors/staff to treat her, and d) a surgeon who is willing to perform the surgeries necessary to transport her.

Yet nobody has contacted CHO to make arrangements to move this poor child.

They're almost out of time on the ventilator order. I think, if they want to keep her "functioning" (shuddering to even type that), they need to stop with the privacy/civil rights claim, or postpone it, and get moving on another stay to keep the vent going. Honestly, I don't think the judge will extend the TRO again. It's gone too far, and the family hasn't delivered on what Dolan said they would. IMO.

I hate to ask, but is it monday or tuesday. I though I read there's a motion to compel scheduled in Fed ct. on tuesday, 1/7 @ 1pm and I remember thinking that's cutting it kind of close.

Just my very opinionated opinion on suing for $$$. 1. There is no amount of money I could be paid to ease my suffering if one of my children died. To even accept it, to me, would be like saying there was. 2. Suing someone for money (or a company/business) to hurt or punish them for the death of my child is equally offensive. Not only is it again putting a monetary value on my child's life, but altering the imprint they made on this world. When people thought of them it should be of the memories people had of knowing them, not of the war mom/dad waged in their name.

Will this woman ever understand that her child cannot suffer because she is brain dead? What is it going to take?

"Right now I don't think there are any obstacles. There were a hell of a lot more of them this morning," #JahiMcMath atty Dolan. @CBSSF

Huh?! Is it just me or are these tweets not making much sense tonight? Could just be a reading comprehension fail on my part, wouldn't be a first ;)

"It's incumbent on us now to move Jahi and we're being secretive about those opportunities," #JahiMcMath attorney Dolan.

When I am in my car I can get a SF am radio station, KCBS. Late this afternoon they were talking about the federal court 'meeting' as they referred to it. The newscaster said that he was told off the record by his sources that the main topic has been the stalemate over the request for feeding tube and breathing tube. He said that neither side is wavering and are at odds with no resolution in sight. I don't see how this can be easily resolved.

eta: i just saw the recent tweet by Dolan, saying there are no more obstacles...Hmmmm...makes no sense.

That's very interesting. My first thought when I heard that impediments had been removed and that both parties didn't have much to say was that the hospital caved on those two issues by agreeing to allow someone to come in and do the procedures with a complete hold harmless agreement and strict confidentiality. They would have had to clear that with a bunch of peeps, so that would also explain what took so long. jmo

Hmmm

That's very different from her prior statements that Jahi was responding to their voices and touch and needed to be fed.

I think the mother understands more than she lets on, or more than Dolan lets her say.

Again, remember in all this "hanging of the crepe", Dolan has asked for money.

Sounds to me like Jahi's mother acknowledges that her daughter is not in pain and is not suffering in any way, so there's no harm done in continuing this saga. :moo:

Which is why I mentioned that I'd like to have seen the hospital's insurers show up waving a check for $5 million this morning. True measure, imo...

A bunch of peeps would be the governing board of the hospital (Board of Trustees) the Medical Staff Leadership or Executive Committee, and the Malpractice company, the Ethics Leadership, and other leaders that I haven't thought of.

I do not believe these leadership groups would agree to the conditions.

For a second time today, I hope you're right.

Nope nope don't believe it for a second nope nope. When did she go to Vital Records? Death certificate was issued today, and she and her attorney have had media following them all day.

Uh, why would the mother GO TO Vital Records to get the death certificate? Huh?

This is a stunt concocted by Dolan.

Shame on him for putting this extremely distressed woman up to that.
