Details of Disappearance
Gore was last seen driving east on Highway 59 in Atchison, Kansas on July 2, 1987. He left his home at 7:30 a.m., driving a silver 1983 Volkswagen Rabbit with a diesel engine, and has never been heard from again. He was extremely upset when he left his residence.

It's uncharacteristic of Gore to leave without warning, and he didn't withdraw any money from the bank after his disappearance. Few details are available in his case.

According to that, he was considered deceased in 1994??

Not sure if this is fully legible as the original article is very light. Odd that another man missing from the same area a month later appears to have similar details. However, they still did not believe there was foul play.

I believe you have to wait 7 years after a person disappears to declare them deceased, so that makes sense for his case.

Apparently they've dredged the Missouri river when looking for Billy and Mary Lou Black in 2009. I hope if they found vehicles they were checked thoroughly. AWP searched boat ramps with sonar around early 2021.
