FBI Considers Juggalos, Fans Of Insane Clown Posse, A Gang In Annual Report

Can i just tell you? I know they are a popular group BUT I have researched 5 disappearances lately where at least one of the key players OR the victims considered themselves a juggalo or juggalette!
This includes
Katelyn Markham (was a fan of ICP and had lots of friends that considered themselves juggheads (my word LOL)
Billy DiSilvestro (tattoo that he was a juggalo)
Carina Saunders (Cody Perez)
Lisa Irwin (Megan Wright)
Hailey Dunn!

How do you know Megan Wright is a Juggalo? Is there a source?

I'm not a Juggalo by any means but I love me some ICP and consider myself a fan. So I guess I'm in a gang now huh. haaa. And everyone wonders why they are angry and turn down their noses to main stream society? Much of their music is making fun of "normal" society and how they stereo type bands like theirs, much of their music is a joke... on society. The stuff isn't real.. like Stephen King's Novels aren't real, are his fans gang members?

Everytime this stuff is brought up it gets me going. sorry, ya'll!

Most crimes committed by Juggalos are sporadic, disorganized, individualistic, and often involve simple assault, personal drug use and possession, petty theft, and vandalism.

So basically, sometimes juggalos indulge in criminal behavior. hmmm. Kinda like sometimes people who listen to rap music sometimes engage in criminal behavior. And people who listen to country music sometimes engage in criminal behavior. And people who listen to Cypress Hill and other "pothead" type music sometimes engage in criminal behavior.

So we have learned that no matter what style of music they prefer, people who engage in criminal behavior probably have a favorite type.

Interesting.

Sorry, not really trying to make light, but I think the FBI is reaching a bit. JMO

Amen. Like everyone used to blame Marilyn Manson.

Whoa, ICP song lyrics can be found here. WARNING - GRAPHIC

JMO, cult or gang or just individuals with killing on their minds bothers me. Sorry, but if that's what's on your mind, I'm probably going to want LE to keep an eye on you. Sorry, don't kill me, Clown.

how 'bout these lyrics? They are talking about society here, not themselves. Bad words again but let's really look at their music not a select few songs. I think much of the problem is their lyrics and the meanings behind their songs are misunderstood.

and these.. this isn't about them.. this about a prisoner being released from our prison system, his mind-set and how quickly he re-offends.

I know there are people who will defend ICP to the death and I firmly agree that you can not blame a "group" for putting the gun or the knife in someone's hand and I'm sure 99% of juggalos/lettes are just that, fans....BUT when 3 or more gather with the intention of causing harm in the NAME of their favorite band... it is called a gang.
I am a metal head and if you listen to the lyrics to some of the bands I LOVE some might be offended and some of the bands I LOVE HAVE been caught up in controversy with people blaming them for violence and devil worshiping but NOT on the scale that ICP fans have proven in separate incidents.
They advocate extremely anti-social behavior and discriminatory behavior against LOTS of genres in society and personally it sickens me.
I'm not even going to go into a rant of the social and psychological dangers of such a sub culture and I'm not blaming it for all the problems in the world, but it definitely plays a part.

We have no idea whether or not Megan Wright has anything to do with Lisa Irwin's disappearance....to start classifying her as a gang member and terrorist seems a bit harsh, IMO.

I definitely did NOT in any way shape or form accuse her of anything (just clarifying) and I don't think anyone else did either... I am just observing the coincidence of the situation that yet someone else brought up in a "case" considered themselves an ICP fan...

Amen. Like everyone used to blame Marilyn Manson.

I was a HUGE MM fan back in the day, lol. MY musical tastes run the gammit from country (old school and new) to Eminim to Ani Difranco and every one in between.

And yes, I remember the hubbub that some folks threw about MM, about Trent Reznor, before that it was Metallica and Judas Priest that were to blame for misspent youth and the criminal exploits of their fans.

Music is music, disturbed minds will make of it what they will but the minds were already disturbed to begin with IMO.

What's good about this kind of music is that it's underground music.. it's not on the radio. So unless you buy it or you allow your children to buy it or have it on their electronic devices you have no reason to be exposed to it so have no worries about having to listen to such lyrics. And you are so right we all have our opinions. In my opinion the message of the song you linked above is about how easily youth succumbs to peer pressure, the nature of human self destruction and self-defeating behaviors. The things people do to themselves, situations they place themselves in even though they are aware that they are unsafe and others have been hurt before them doing the very things they are about to do yet they believe they will be safe and come out unscathed. again, IMO

I think you might have misunderstood. the FBI is the entity that has classified those who identify as "jugallos" (or ettes as the case may be) as gang members and not those of us discussing the FBI's report.

But I do agree with your sentiment. We are debating whether or not those who identify as this group are in reality a "gang" or not (as described by the FBI) and the Juggallo culture in general, not trying to demonize anyone.

Mine too.. I listen to Tori Amos, Sarah McLachlan, Rob Thomas, Nirvana, I loove Ani. But I love my hip hop too. I still adore Eminem, it's amazing to be able to witness his personal growth through his music.

usually i consider myself way to old to know what younger people are

listening to or what groups they belong too but this time i am happy to

report, i was not that far out of the loop. my favorite true crime author

m. william phelps, just published a new book Too Young To Kill, about

a crime in East Moline, Il. the perps where all juggalettes and popped

skittles like candy. i recommend it highly, though i am sick of phelps

stud muffin photos of himself on the book jackets.

There is plenty of crime associated with them if you do a google search. I think the philosophy lends itself well to anti social behavior, but that's obvious.
