So it's surfaced and is loitering close to Gibraltar? Knowing Russia's current hostility to the UK, I'm not taking this at face value. It wouldn't surprise me if the crew didn't magically manage to get the problem under control - after spending a week or so monitoring the UK naval base at the Rock.

I thought the Novorossiysk was a Kilo-class diesel not nuclear?
I think the reporting is rather confusing. I think it's nuclear-capable (ie, capable of carrying nuclear weapons) rather than nuclear-powered.
