Circumstances of Disappearance
Räisänen disappeared after a girls night out in downtown Tampere, Finland, on Saturday, October 16, 1999. The EU Summit was held that same day in Tampere so there was heightened security and police presence everywhere.
The last call from Räisänen's phone was at 22:18 and the last confirmed sighting of her was at 22:50. Despite several unconfirmed sightings that evening, she has never been seen since and her whereabouts remain unknown.
