The University of Michigan "will leave no stone unturned" during a thorough "evaluation of culture" inside the school's scandal-plagued athletic department, its president said Wednesday, days after football coach Sherrone Moore's firing and arrest.

Interim university president Domenico Grasso's 3 1/2-minute-long video address follows the Dec. 10 termination of Moore, who allegedly carried on an ‘inappropriate relationship’ with staff member.

Moore was arrested hours later after, police said, he broke into his former lover’s home and threatened to kill himself, telling her that his “blood is on your hands,” prosecutors said...

Call me "Mean Mickey". But you wouldn't see me, within 5 feet of my soon to be "ex" husband. He would be SO gone from my house, my kids, my life. I don't care if it is Christmas.

I just don't understand these women who "Stand By Your Man". There have been SO many of them...

The Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office released the booking photo of former Michigan football head coach Sherrone Moore on Wednesday.

Ann Arbor — Michigan football players, speaking publicly for the first time since former head coach Sherrone Moore was fired last week, said the situation stunned them, but they’re rallying together to prepare for the upcoming bowl game.

Moore, 39, was fired Dec. 10 for having an inappropriate relationship with a staff member. Later that day he was arrested and two days later was charged with third-degree felony home invasion and misdemeanor stalking and breaking and entering after he was arrested in Pittsfield Township at the apartment of the staffer...

Here's the Athletic article that the DM sourced.

The Athletic spoke with more than 20 people, including current and former staff members, players, school officials and women who interacted with Moore on social media, on the condition of anonymity so they could speak candidly about Moore. They paint a picture of a coach who became increasingly volatile before his firing and subsequent arrest and arraignment on felony and misdemeanor charges for alleged crimes against the staffer.

Moore would break down sobbing in staff meetings and lash out at other coaches, according to three program sources who witnessed the behavior. He was seen eavesdropping on closed-door meetings inside Schembechler Hall, one of those people said, and fellow staff members became concerned about his mental state.

One interesting bit in the article is that the university has known about at least some of his online exchanges with women since the fall of 2024.

Sounds like Moore was really starting to lose it before the incident with the staffer. Maybe he has some undiagnosed MH issues? MOO.

Re. the bolded :
Well, that's not to help get you a promotion or even guarantee job continuation.
