Fire sucks. We've had some horrible ones. The fire that has most affected me is this one. I will never see the mountains the same as I have hundreds of times. It would take 80-100 years to replenish the trees. Many cabins & the town has been remodeled now, oy. Never what you remembered before.

We actually stayed up there when this fire was almost completed and Mt. Lemmon was reopened. We remember the helicopters coming in scooping up water from the lake with buckets. We had no idea the fire was still burning elsewhere since the area was opened.

Just waking up here and I heard on KFI (640 AM): 8000 acres burned so far, and still NO INJURIES reported.

Amazing. I'll be praying for us all today. Everybody be careful, be smart, and keep cool. It's going to be a long day.
