I think its obvious Zimmerman was claiming this to be self-defense from the start.
Not according to the police report, all Zimmerman told the cop was he shot Martin and the cop overheard him saying he yelled for help. Then he was taken to the station.

If he said he shot him in self defense why didn't the cop put it in the report?

No matter what happens to Zimmerman or to any of the police or city officials involved in his case, Trayvon will remain, tragically, irrevocably, unjustifiably slain. The justice we seek is for us, not for Trayvon.

This desire to set the world right and find justice for ourselves is powerful. Psychologists have studied the “just world theory” and have found that people’s belief in a just world helps explain how they react to innocent victims of negative life circumstances. People become frustrated when presented with stories of victims who suffer through little fault of their own: like a teenage boy gunned down for no reason.

They can deal with this frustration in two ways: they can conclude that the world is an unjust place or they can decide that the victim is somehow to blame. Here is what’s interesting: most people reconcile their psychological distress by blaming the victim. Even when we know that suffering is undeserved, it is psychologically easier to blame the victim rather than give up the idea that the world is basically fair. If you have noticed the new comments of some observers of Trayvon's case then you have seen this victim blaming beginning, as though his hoodie somehow justifies his death.

Emphasis is mine.

Yes, I believe this was the woman who was a teacher for 31 years. The very emotional call (14 minutes long). She says police "corrected" her statement.

That's not the witness I was talking about. I posted this link already numerous time. There is a guy who claims he saw the two of them fight and GZ was screaming help.

I believe the cop who wrote the report that we saw says he didn't interview Zimmerman at all and didn't ask him anything either.

I think some of the witnesses might be trying to stay out of the frenzy.

Except that there are a lot of things still in question, not everyone has jumped to the conclusion that GZ could not have been defending himself. Did that article state what research those claims were based on?

Please read the article, and then if you still have questions I'll be happy to discuss.

father that directly refute this so please tell us where you get your information. I think it's horrible to lie about what this father said about his son while he was being murdered. It's not right.

Tracy Martin said the calls paint a stark picture of what were his son's final moments.
"He was yelling for help, and no one could help him. He saw his life being taken away from him," Tracy Martin said.

"My son was crying for help, and he still shot him," said Tracy Martin, Trayvon's father, upon listening to the tapes and hearing a voice believed to be his son terrifyingly muttering "No, no" as a gun-toting Zimmerman apparently approached.

Not to mention what his mother said:

On the night of the shooting there were several 911 calls played by neighbors reporting a fight. In one of the calls, there is a voice in the background calling for help.

Sybrina says he believes that voice on the line is her son, telling Anderson, “I believe that's Trayvon Martin, that's my baby's voice. Every mother knows their child, and that's his voice. “

“He was afraid for his life,” says his father, “He saw his death coming. He saw his death coming. The screams got more frantic.”

I can hear the 911 tapes in my head. I can hear him yelling,” says Sybrina. “It's just very difficult as a mother to know that I had to bury my child

Actually his dad said he didn't think it was Trayvon screaming.

I read that law and have dubbed it the wild wild west law. Whomever is faster in drawing his gun prevails with no legal consequences. It is pretty bad and very ambiguous. Like everybody had a brain fart in the Fl legislation or thought the NRA money made it worth wile. And unnecessary. Self defense was already valid in court. Makes it more difficult for prosecutors to get a conviction for real criminals.
Even giving civil action immunity to folks claiming successful protection from prosecution under this law. And not even requiring any substance testing for both parties in a gun fight with a victim..

ITA. A prosecutor will not take a case to trial if he doesn't think he can get a conviction. By the way, while everybody is blaming the police for trying to protect GZ,

"Jacksonville-based Corey replaced local prosecutor Norm Wolfinger in the case and WFTV said several sources had confirmed that police had originally recommended manslaughter charges against Zimmerman, but that Wolfinger had not acted on their advice."

I shoot off about 200-400 rounds a month and I've never had a backfire, nor seen anyone else have one at any of the ranges I've been to and I've been shooting guns since I was about 3. My private instructor says there is no such thing as a gun backfiring, but they can misfire and that's usually caused by improper ammo, some of the older, cheaply made guns or guns that aren't cleaned/maintained.

I don't know if backfire is the correct term here. Maybe kickback is a better term. Kickback is real and dangerous, sometimes causing people to shoot themselves in the head.

Here, I believe, is the link you are referring to:

http://www.myfoxorlando.com/dpp/new...n-shot-and-killed-in-neighborhood-altercation

However, it also states that Tracy Martin is Trayvon's mother and quotes him/her as saying that his/her son was shot sitting on the porch.

(Not directed at JJenny) I can only speak for myself but with huge inaccuracies like that, I am not going to cherry-pick one item in the article as gospel truth.

Here is the link about turning TM over. with what officer names, etc. Is this msm?

http://www.thegrio.com/specials/tra...e-leaves-many-unanswered-questions.php?page=2

From your link:
Zimmerman is taken into custody, and the young man is taken to the morgue, flagged as a John Doe.
Meanwhile, Tracy Martin and his girlfriend return to her house. Trayvon isn't there, but they assume that he may have gone out with his uncle, who's in his 20s and close to Trayvon.
But when Trayvon still hasn't arrived by the morning of the 27th, his dad gets worried. He repeatedly calls his phone. No answer. The father calls police to report his son missing.

There's an MSNBC video of Tracy Martin standing by the clubhouse in the gated community - he points and says his girlfriend's house is 100 yds. away. If they returned home while this was going on, and their son was not around, and there were TONS of lights around the community - how did they not at least try to find out what happened? Why didn't he call the Uncle to find out for sure where Trayvon was, instead of just assuming?

Just questions I have as a parent of a 26 yr. old who lived at home, off and on, until a year ago, no judgments.

I had the opportunity to ask a military sniper yesterday about this. Could a 9mm tech give such a kick as to possible hit the shooter in the nose? Was told absolutely NOT. And even more so with a 200+ pound man who owned the weapon and had a CWP. FWIW - but I trust this person and believe what he told me.
