I thought Trayvon's father got the call logs from the carrier and that's how he found out about the gf? Or, wouldn't he have already known about the gf since, at least, the wake where she was hospitalized over all of this and couldn't attend? Granted he lives up there and she was down here - Trayvon's mom lives here - she would have known about the gf.

JMHO

ETA: Or was it that Trayvon's parents knew about the gf and the phone call but waited to get the logs from the carrier to have concrete proof to back it all up?

I was wrong. I'm sorry.....:blushing:

Yes. The reporter certainly seems to have confused the facts. i don't see any way Trayvon called 911 during the end of this confrontation, or at any time at all during his interaction with GZ.

What happens if the reporter hasn't confused the facts and Tray was able to dial 911? He had two minutes. It's been reported that the "wrestling" only lasted like 45 seconds before the shot was fired? I believe that's what has been stated in the 911 calls? Or that it was only 45 seconds we heard on he 911 tapes?

I've asked this several times but I can't get past this.

How is it possible that if Trayvon was on top of GZ, and GZ shot him, that there were no reports of blood all over GZ?

Only blood on his nose and back of head were noted by police.

It's just not possible that he wouldn't have had Tray's blood all over him.

Assuming zimerman yelled help...Asuming Zimmerman thought the guy had a gun.
But the kid was running away not running after him...He was not in danger.
Why Shoot someone that way? WHY? If you are trigger happy
shoot the kid in the leg so he cant run anymore, and get the police.

I am bothered by Zimmerman - to me he seems to be depraved.
I am also bothered by the family calling on Al Sharpton -
this has made me back up and look closer.
I am following the case but not posting very much.

I doubt the family called him. This has taken on a life of its own and well known people have inserted themselves into a movement. What are they supposed to say to him, or whoever is organizing these events?

Ok. Now I think the reporter for abc was mistaken. I just looked at photo of Tray's phone records that documents the call from the girlfriend at 7:12pm and the call above it is to 911 but on March 2nd. I wonder who called 911 from his phone so many days after his death?

Hmmmm... and the mystery deepens. Dang it. I was really hoping Tray had time to call 911. Deep depressing sigh!

ETA: Interesting that 911 was called on March 2nd though. Who called 911 from his phone?

I can understand and sympathize with the public's concerns regarding this incident. I too am thankful it's at last getting the focus it deserves... Maybe now we will began to hear some reasonable answers instead of Media/Public rhetoric. There has been a lot of rhetoric and hearsay being taken as fact and the truth is there is very few facts that have been released to the public.

Now I know this might cause some discomfort to others but I'm not convinced that Zimmerman is guilty of anything? I'm not saying he's innocent either for I have lots of questions left unanswered. But like most of you I too want to see justice and if the facts do support a case of murder then Zimmerman needs to be charged as such. However, if it turns out this Martin man did in fact attack Zimmerman then self-defense was a justifiable action.

I think the entire situation is in some very muddy waters legally speaking. You've got some overlapping laws that seem to make a clear determination not so simple.

I'm kind of tired and stuff but I find it interesting and mildly disturbing that you refer to Zimmerman as Zimmerman and TM as "this Martin man."

Why is that? Just curious.

I played that 911 call for 8 people, my parents, my 2 sons and 4 of their friends, between the ages of 22-26. Everyone said they heard "effing *****", it was revealing because after I played it for my sons and their friends, they each asked me what a **** was. My parents remembered it as an old racial slur. I don't know if this slur is used much anymore, always seems new words pop up to take their place. Hopefully there will a day when every slur will all be forgotten and unheard of.

People were complaining that inaccuracies should be removed and they were.

So how do we know that what was left isn't inaccurate also?

I was hoping too. BUT, this tells us that Tray's phone was either powered off immediately or no officer on the scene answered the ringing phone of a dead teenager because his girlfriend said she called him multiple times after the call disconnected and he didn't answer.

I have no idea were Trayvon was shot and how much blood would immediately come out of the wound. I would have to guess that GZ wouldn't leave him laying on top of himself for very long. Would it matter if his heart kept beating after the shot? So I'm not sure how much blood to expect. Sorry I can't help more.

I can't imagine that someone supposedly shot at almost point blank range, especially if it was the chest or anywhere for that matter, wouldn't have been pouring blood. It was said that Tray was on top of GZ, attacking GZ.

GZ may have wanted to get him off quickly but then again, I would think he would have had even more of Tray's blood all over him just trying to get him off of him.

No police notes about any blood other than his nose and back of head.

I suppose it's from years of security work? It's not exactly how I'd write it officially in a report. If that was the case I'd be using names more specifically such as Mr. Zimmerman and Mr. Martin. The reason being is to keep an objective approach to an investigation.

I want to know who called 911 from his phone on March 2nd? We know Trayvon didn't? Really weird! We need cell phone pings!

I'm thinking that, if Trayvon did call 911, that he didn't actually drop the phone like the girlfriend thought, but Trayvon hung up and dialed 911?

Actually, the girlfriend said she heard like there was a push and then the phone. Maybe it was Tray stepping back and hanging up the phone and calling 911? Who knows? I'll wait for more confirmation though. But it's possible if he hung up the phone and not dropped it.

Where has it been confirmed Zimmerman knocked the phone out of Martin's hand?

Exactly. It hasn't been. According to the girlfriend, he wore an earbud. If that got dislodged, as she believes, he would still have his phone. Hence, if the earbud was on the ground, he could still have made a call with his phone.

You may be right and the blood was pouring out of him. I can't say that I know that to be true because I have no experience in gunshot wounds other than what Hollywood presents. And I don't feel that Hollywood is a valid source. JMO.

But it does support GZ's claim that he was the one screaming for help.

Only if one believes that this one part of the article is true when much of the rest of it has been proven to be false.

Has it been explained why Mr. Martin was hundreds of miles from home on a school night?

Only if one believes that this one part of the article is true when much of the rest of it has been proven to be false.

And yet many posters here have no problems believing that witnesses who didn't see the actual fight could figure out who was screaming.
