In this video, Matt Guttman says the family is upset because LE did not reach out to Trayvon's girlfriend, who was the last to talk to Trayvon. I'll have to search for the link, but someone here said the family refused to turn over Trayvon't phone records. If true, how could LE have known to reach out to her? Without those records they wouldn't know she exists. Of course they should have had Trayvon's phone. According to this article: "We're going to turn this over to the Justice Department because the family does not trust the Sanford Police Department to have anything to do with the investigation," said Crump."

I can't tell if that means they did, or did not turn the calls over to SPD.

Also, according to the still shots of the phone record, the girlfriend did not use her cell again for five days? From 2/26/2012 until an emergency call to 911 on 3/2/2012? We're supposed to believe that?
.
Those still shots are not the gf's records. They are for Trayvon's phone. On 3/2 @12:45 that phone called 911
On 3/2 @ 12;47 and again @ 12;49 that phone receives incoming calls - the number listed is the SPD main number so it couldn't be the gf's phone records.

He re-holstered his weapon. <MODSNIP>

The pdf police report stated the gun was in his waistband. There was no mention of a holster.

FROM HARD COPY of todays Orlando Sentinel

Official: Suspension wasn't for tardiness

By David Weber

<snipped>

"But Miami-Dade Public Schools spokesman John Schuster told the Orlando Sentinel that the school district "does not suspend for tardinss."

He also said: "No one has been suspended this year for tardiness at Krop."

According to the Florida Department of Education, schools are not permitted to suspend students for tardiness under a state law that spells out that "no student shall be suspended for unexcused tardiness, lateness, absence, or truancy."

Looks like some one is lying about why Martin was suspended. And people are claiming it's the SFD doing all the lying?

Who really cares. If you do something real bad in school, you get expelled.
Besides black kids get expelled/suspended faster than white kids in my area for the same offense.
What about the story that Tray saves his dad from a fire . Why are not folks wanting more info on that besides that silly suspension.
My (white ) son got suspended for refusing to take off a t shirt that had a plant leaf on it resembling a cannabis leaf.

So the automatic assumption is conspiracy, and not that they didn't call in these officers to sign police reports they already signed over a week prior?

No, not automatic conspiracy, maybe there is key evidence in those reports that was left out so as not to compromise the investigation.

Or maybe they are just being slick like when they first released this report as the Offense Report by the Police Department which it was not.

Why would the police have shot him?

I would instinctively re-holster my weapon, too. That's where it's safest. No one will pick it up, and it's not in my hands when the cops arrive. When they do arrive, I simply tell them I have a holstered weapon. They take it. Simple.

Have you shot anyone? I'm just asking, because that's a lot of thinking after you've shot someone? I would think the instinctive thing to do would be to drop the gun and continue screaming for help?

These are all extremely trivial issues that don't affect the substance of the case.

I have not. However, I would never thinking of just dropping one of my weapons (figuratively or literally). One should not leave a weapon just lying around. I'd probably unload it and secure back in its holster with the slide locked back, myself. Zimmerman may not have had a collected-enough state of mind at the time to have thought of this, however.

I have Googled inside-the-waistband holsters and seen various designs, but have a couple of novice questions for anyone who has real-life experience... When one wears a waist holster, does one typically position it at one's back, or side, or front? And if no holster and a person is really tucking the gun into their waistband, is the preferred tuck front side or back side? (I don't want to use Plaxico Burress as my hypothetical model here.)

I haven't read that GZ had a waistband holster, and the police report says the gun was recovered from his waistband, so I'm just trying to visualize how that plays into the reports of person A on top of person B and vice versa... TIA!

It's kind of hard to have a one size all answer to your question. It depends on the size of your gun and how you can conceal it. Having a large gun a shoulder holster may work better than trying to use a waist holster. A very small gun may not need a holster at all depending on where you wish to carry it. In other words, if you want to carry an 8" .44 Magnum in 100 degree heat , be ready to wear a jacket to cover it up.

Dang it! I had to stop reading the article when I read the second paragraph which was a total lie. Why would a fox reporter lie like that?

The night of that shooting, police say there was a witness who saw it all.

Personally I do not consider Fox MSM, rather even less reliable than any tabloid.
This snip makes absolutely no sense from that Fox article.

"When I got upstairs and looked down, the guy who was on top beating up the other guy, was the one laying in the grass, and I believe he was dead at that point," John said.

What are?
Them printing out a document with the wrong header, and not signing a copy of a police report that's distributed to the press. Do any of these issues materially or intrinsically affect anything?

Can a mod start a thread in the private forums so we can post/discuss msm's poor accuracy/reporting? Isn't photoshopping media photos a no no?

I'm glad you have so much confidence in yourself. You seem like a really responsible gun owner. I won't own a gun because I'm scared I'll shoot my cat or my surround sound at night? I'm quick to grab a butcher knife though? I have praticed shooting before. It's very cool!

I'm not as trusting of myself as you might think. When I was on Ambien for some sleep issues a while back, I actually felt compelled to unload all of my weapons and give them to my parents for safe-keeping in case I decided to go zombie hunting in my sleep.

Sorry for the OT, if anyone cares.

:floorlaugh: Zombies? That's funny! My friend got married at Zombie-Con (a annual festival every year).

Sorry.. back on topic.

Has it been established that it was photoshopped?

Well, if I had people so mad at me that some wanted to put a bounty on my arrest, and some were making death threats.....If I had any information that might help them see that I actually did have injuries and proof of what those injuries were, I believe I would have my Attorney release it instead of letting people believe that I really wasn't injured at all, waiting to release the information is not going to make it anymore powerful later on ....If he has this proof he has it, and thinking that he is going to ambush the prosecution and the public with it later is kinda ridiculous IMO JMHO and stuff

He does not have to prove anything to the public it is in police hands. As far as bounty and death threats just goes to show how the mob mentality thinks. They do anything and they will have to face police charges .So not so smart on their part.No way can Justice be bullied IMO.Police have all the facts and did not press charges.
