More than that, it's constantly repeated here that GZ killed TM because he was walking home while black, because he didn't want him in his neighborhood, because he had skittles and iced tea, simply because he was black, he didn't want him to get away... Utterly baseless nonsense.

GZ did kill TM.

joe scarborough slams right wing for smearing trayvon martin and making this political

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/...n-martin-conservative-websites_n_1392019.html

"Some out there are marginalizing themselves, making fools of themselves," he continued. He speculated that they took issue with President Obama's remarks about Martin's death. "I guess in their warped, twisted, distorted, political worldview, that makes this dead 17-year-old boy — who was kept in the morgue for three days before they even notified his parents of his whereabouts — I guess that makes it okay?" he said.

This link says police are investigating the North Miami Wal-Greens that was ransacked.

They had some good video of the students (criminals) from what I saw in HLN the other day.
I wonder if any charges will follow?

IMO they better get control of this kind of stuff and set the example that this type of behavior will not be allowed.

But they can't arrest him unless they have evidence that contradicts his story.

They won't arrest him, different from "can't". He looks completely unscathed that video for someone who just got their heads bashed into a sidewalk. He never went to the hospital. Self-defense theory doesn't hold water.

If I had to write the sequence of events from what George's friends and family have said, it would go something like this.

---------------------------------------------------

FADE IN:

EXT. COMPLEX - GEORGE ZIMMERMAN’S CONDO - EVENING

Light rain.

GEORGE ZIMMERMAN, 28, a gentle giant, casually walks to his BLACK SUV. He’s dressed like any good American boy. Blue jeans and a gray T-shirt underneath his red and black jacket.

George opens the door to the BLACK SUV. Jumps in.

INT. BLACK SUV - CONTINUOUS

George starts the ignition. Backs out carefully, making sure that no children or kittens are in the street.

EXT. COMPLEX - ENTRANCE GATE - CONTINUOUS

TRAYVON MARTIN, 17, young and black, a menacing character no doubt, enters the complex on foot. A typical 🤬🤬🤬🤬, Trayvon is wearing jeans, a gray hoodie, and brand new Nike Jordan’s.

INT. BLACK SUV

George spots Trayvon. Stops the car. Watches.

EXT. COMPLEX - CLUBHOUSE

Trayvon slips under the awning. Pulls up his hoodie.

INTENSE MUSIC PLAYS.

INT. BLACK SUV

George stares intently at the suspicious young man.

EXT. COMPLEX

Trayvon notices George staring at him. Puffs his chest out.

TRAYVON: What’s your f***ing problem?

GEORGE: Nothing man.

INT. BLACK SUV

Horribly frightened, George immediately rolls up his window and calls Law Enforcement.

INSERT TRANSCRIPT OF CALL TO LAW ENFORCEMENT.

EXT. COMPLEX

Trayvon walks aimlessly. He cases out the homes as he passes. Suddenly, he walks back towards George. Checks him out again. Doesn’t say anything. Walks away and suddenly takes off running.

INT. BLACK SUV

George opens the door. Gets out.

EXT. COMPLEX

LE DISPATCH: Are you following him?

GEORGE (lying): Yep.

LE DISPATCH: Okay, we don’t need you to be doing that.

GEORGE: Okay.

All along, George was simply checking the address to give to Law Enforcement. He no longer sees Trayvon. Walks back towards his truck

OUT OF NOWHERE --- WITHOUT WARNING ---

Trayvon ATTACKS George from behind. PUNCHES his FACE so hard that his nose SNAPS.

George falls to the ground. Blood gushing out of his nose. He puts his arms over his face. SCREAMS helplessly.

Trayvon WAILS on George. SLAMS his head into the cement side walk. Over and over again.

Blood oozes out of a massive laceration on the back of George’s head, staining the cement surface a dark red.

George SCREAMS. HELP! HELP!

Trayvon won’t let up! BLOW after BLOW is harder than the next.

CLOSE UP on GUN in George’s waistband.

Trayvon sees the gun! Grabs it! Yanks it. It won’t come loose.

TRAYVON: You’re going to DIE!

George SCREAMS! HELP! HELP!

George, barely conscious and severely beaten has a “come to God” moment. With any and all strength he has left in his body, George grabs the gun out of his waistband and SHOOTS! BANG! One SHOT!

SILENCE.

Trayvon grabs his chest wound. Blood oozes through his fingers.

TRAYVON: You got me.

Trayvon slumps over, face first. Dies.

George, barely able to move, wiggles from underneath Trayvon's lifeless body.

Neighbors begin to gather.

George places the gun back into his waistband. Rakes his fingers through his hair.

FADE OUT:

----------------------------------------------------

I'm not sure you realize how demeaning your comment might be to the victim of a violent attack. I'm sorry, but I just don't understand the purpose or need to mock a physical assault. A young man died. It's neither funny or entertaining.

So if they are using TM as the vehicle, wouldn't it be relevant to this thread?

No. It has nothing to do with why TM died and what we are sleuthing. I personally think it was a "punk kid" thing with GZ. Maybe GZ caught a glimpse of himself in TM. I don't know. That is what we are trying to find out. This racial stuff is driving people further and further away from what is probably the truth. GZ was overzealous, wanted to seen in the eyes of LE as the PERFECT candidate, the man who would make a perfect police officer because of his attention to detail. He wanted that so bad he was willing to do anything to get it. That is why he did not listen. TM was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I don't think it was race at all. I just think GZ wanted to be a police officer so bad he could smell it and TM just happened to be his perfect candidate to show that GZ was equal to the task.

I was married to an police detective. As the years wore on I saw a change he became more mello and finally he left when he was injured. Lost that edge he said. They have huge egos, huge. Most manage to wake up and keep those egos in check. Telling someone you are a police officer brings a lot of attention to you personally. People react to you differently. You are no longer just plain George, your Officer Z. Your family gets more attention. That was his motivation, nothing more, nothing less. He just picked the wrong person to follow. jmo

You don't think they want to arrest him by now? There is a lot of pressure for them to arrest him.

per Sanford police volunteer coordinator Wendy Dorival neighborhood watch members are not even supposed to patrol, let alone carry a gun. Per the same coordinator, GZ was there to hear these pretty specific sounding directives.

I do not believe GZ needed to exit his truck on February 26 in order to check a street sign or address. Since he was originally heading to target in his truck, and since I refuse to believe that this man is not extremely familiar with the neighborhood, I must ask "why was GZ out of his vehicle at all"?

and that is not even touching upon the last part of the directive about NOT carrying a gun, which he was also apparently present to hear.

:goodpost: I am torn between believing your theory about it being a young punk of any color thing and wondering if racial profiling caused GZ to single TM out for his attention.

Is there evidence that says Zimmerman continued to follow Martin after the dispatcher's fairly casual suggestion?

I thought Zimmerman said he did quit following and was returning to his truck.

Unless his truck was parked on a sidewalk between 2 rows of houses, he followed him.

I'm very sorry you took it that way?

We still don't know if this was GZ defending himself after TM started a fight with him. All the facts are not in and you're making some pretty huge unjustifiable leaps imo.

It has been stated on threads related to this case many, many times that people who believe GZ is guilty of murder should "wait for the facts" to come in. The problem is that all of the facts will never be in, because one of the two parties involved is *dead* and cannot give his version of the facts. This is why GZ's past angry, explosive behavior, all as an adult, mind you, is highly relevant as to whether his version(s) of the facts are at all believable.

I don't think that anyone here is saying that he should not be further investigated, arrested put on trial. I think all three of those things have to happen. IMO, he should be arrested.

IMO - If the investigators are unable to disprove Zimmerman's claim that he was attacked and in fear of his life and or serious injury there should be no arrest or trial as there would have been no crime.

That is exactly what I think the Stand Your Ground law is supposed to prevent. The police/prosecutors can't just say, well we don't really know what happened so we will arrest the guy and let the jury figure it out.

Basically without this law you could easily be victimized twice, once by the "prep" and again by the justice system.

I thought Zimmerman said he did quit following and was returning to his truck.

His truck was by the mailboxes near the Clubhouse no where near where TM's body was found. GZ seemed to understand what the dispatcher was asking because he said okay. jmo

"escalation in peaceful civil disobedience and economic sanctions"

Civil disobedience is the active, professed refusal to obey certain laws, demands, and commands of a government, or of an occupying international power.

It is nice that the Reverend put the word 'peaceful' in the middle of those words, but an escalation of civil disobedience means just what it says. A higher level of the refusal to obey certain laws.

How does a large angry crowd escalate peacefully? And how do they refuse to obey certain laws peacefully?

There are going to be some violent incidents, imo. Sharpton has said that the government has to arrest GZ NOW OR ELSE he unleashes the protestors, and asks them to escalate their civil disobedience, but 'peacefully.' Those words do not go together in a highly emotional situation like this, imo.

But they can't arrest him unless they have evidence that contradicts his story.

Not true. If they don't believe his account, they can arrest and charge him, which is exactly what the lead homicide guy wanted to do until he was overruled by the Chief of Police and the state attorney (who drove 50 miles for an unprecedented face-to-face meeting), both of whom have since 'stepped-aside'.

Do we know where George's truck was when he got out of the car? I think that would help? Did he get out of the car by the clubhouse or was he following Trayvon in his car first?

I have a question? Let's just for a moment think about this?

If Zimmerman is never arrested, charged, prosecuted for the death of Trayvon Martin and he was allowed to just go on with his life as he had left off before this happened, would you want him in your neighborhood? Would you feel safe with him having a gun and becoming the Neighborhood Watch Captain of your neighborhood? Would you allow your child to go and pick up some snacks from a store if you knew George Zimmerman was lurking around the neighborhood?

THANK YOU FOR THIS POST. NO WAY! I have a 'white' 17-year old and no matter what, I would never feel safe with someone like GZ in my neighborhood. I absolutely hate the white-black thing. It makes me sick. Kids are kids. Teenagers are teenagers. No matter the color.

I would love to know which one of them is screaming for help.
I honestly think it was Trayvon IMO:moo:
