Jeremiah Hintz, of Sebring, was attending South Florida Community College and due to graduate Wednesday from the Basic Law Enforcement Academy, deputies said.
Luis Gabriel Alvarez-Oquendo, of Tampa, a registered sex offender, was charged with failure to register, according to deputies.


According to the sheriff's office, 18 of the suspects were married, 31 of them have a criminal history, 22 of them had drugs, and 14 told deputies they were receiving federal assistance.
