Per court filings, Abraham himself (no LLCs using his name) assumed the mortgages/became mortgagee of two properties - we can assume friends.

5/14/07 - $63,000
In 2009, Assignment of Mortgage documents were filed for both properties. All rights to these properties were assigned to American Medical Professionals, PPO.

In addition, a series of property transactions were filed under Shakespeare & Associates LLC. This LLC was set up by Cedric E Lewis/registered agent on 06/11/07 and Abraham's mother address was used as the registered address. These properties were moved to ownership of American Medical Professionals, PPO. The transactions were recorded in Hillsborough County in 05/09. Shakespeare & Associates LLC has been disolved.

A new LLC, Abraham Shakespeare, LLC was formed on 2/09/09 with D Moore as the registered agent/manager using the address 5732 State Rd 60, Plant City FL 33566. D Moore is the sole manager/member of this LLC.

From Polk County Registry of Business Taxes, two businesses were formed using the name Abraham Shakespeare. One Abraham Shakespeare ID# 113929 and the other A & J Lawn Service ID# 116481. Someone filed A & J Lawn Service as out-of-business on 6/29/09.

From Florida State Notaries Licensing, Dorice/DeeDee Moore was granted a notary license on 8/22/09:

What does this part about his mother in the Ledger article mean? Does it mean Shakespeare broke his promise, or that the friend betrayed the promise?

Moore said she also helped him set up a power of attorney, which was given to a longtime friend whom she refused to name. That meant there would be someone available to deal with legal issues for Shakespeare without his having to be involved.

There was also a promise to ensure Shakespeare's mother was cared for, Moore said.

But the plan turned out to be a bad one, she said.

I did not agree to buy the bad ones. I bought the ones that were done legally without all the issues. I did benefit, I never said I didn't. That's why people go into business to make a profit. I bought it months before he left.....He told people hey I sold my home. He introduced me to people as the new land owner.... The bad debts he went around telling the important ones he sold them. If your that interested fly down here and talk with the people yourself. The only ones saying negative are people that owes him.

So, are you saying his Mom was another of the leaches in his life? I don't understand where you're going with that.

You're not shedding the most positive light on Abraham's character here, yet you want everyone to believe you went to great lengths to help him in his hour of need. How does that make sense?

Also, on the taped interviews Moore is saying that up until two weeks ago she was able to contact Abraham. She says she lost the ability to contact him after all the media attention---the implication is that Abraham became aware of the missing persons report, etc., and cut off contact with Moore.

The reporter asks how Abraham would find out, seeing as how he can't read. He asks if Moore thinks Abraham learned through word on the street.

But Moore also says that if Abraham knew about the probe, he would come forward to clear her. She says he has respect for her and would contact someone to let them know he's alive and remove her from the chopping block.

It just doesn't make any sense.

Indeed. I would think LE can track many, many of Moore's claims.

Hello, they removed my last two posts, so I will leave that important information, you really need to know, out, and just state the facts. I bought Mr. Shakespeare's assets months before he even left. I made sure everything was read to him and he had his own witness there to protect him.

Mr. Shakespeare only received 12 million after taxes and had already loaned and gave out over 11 million dollars by the time I met him. He was tired of the daily phone calls and was too embarrassed to let everyone know all his money was almost gone. The rest of his money was tied up in assets that he wanted to sell. He even went and applied for a loan at Community Bank and was turned down because he did not have a job.

Some of the people he loaned his money to made a fool of him. They would tell him they would take him to court, or get off their property. Out of all the loans only 5% of the people were paying. He sold his bad debts to me which gives me every right to collect. Abraham hoped that I would have better luck than the last three people he had collecting for him. He had a pending lawsuit for child support coming up with threats of others on the way.

I was writing a book on this man and I only wanted to help him, not have my name slandered. All the money in the world is not worth what I've been through. It is not fair that you can post untrue statements about someone's real life.

My ex-husband is well respected and has never done anything wrong in his life. He will not even associate with people that do drugs and has never been arrested for anything.

This is why our economy is so bad now. We are in a world where we can comment on someone's character without even knowing the person. We can post things that are not even true. If we spent all this time and effort helping our neighbors and looking for solutions to our nationwide problems we would be one step closer in making the world a better place.

Thank you for this link! This woman can go from crying to not crying in a heartbeat. She only cries when she is recounting what 'all this' has done to her. All I hear on the tape is 'poor me'.

This is all just one big mess. She and Shakespeare both have a record. That's all they had in common. How does one go from an insurance scam on a Navigator and writing a worthless check to the big time involving so much? And I do not think she did all of this alone either. She just does not come across as being that smart, so she is not the only one involved here.

I would like to know who the friend is who has power of attorney also. Has he/she left the country too? Can he/she be located?

The one thing I do hear in her voice on the tape is fear. I do hear fear and attempts at damage control. I think that LE knows too much now for damage control to be effective, tho. If I were innocent of all things, I would certainly not use an analogy involving O. J. Simpson! I guess I am not intelligent enough to know what was meant by the turtle analogy!

Sleuthers here have uncovered so much about Abraham Shakespeare in just a matter of days. A good rule of thumb is to follow the money and that has been done here. 'Goodness' had nothing to do with where Abraham may be today or the desire to do a good deed for someone. This was a systematic plan executed by people who really thought they were smart enough to get away with it, IMO.

If so many people here do not buy this astounding story, then I doubt a jury would either.

Dover woman charged with insurance fraud

A Dover woman went to a lot of trouble to pull off an insurance scam involving her 2000 Lincoln Navigator, authorities say.

But instead of getting a nice check to replace her "stolen" SUV, she got arrested and charged with a couple of crimes, deputies say.

Deputies arrested Dorice Moore, 29, at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday at her home at 3447 N Forbes Road, said Hillsborough sheriff's spokesman Rod Reder. She has been charged with insurance fraud and falsely reporting a crime. She also faces a charge of obtaining property with a worthless check in an unrelated incident.

Reder said Moore's SUV was stashed in a garage in Pasco County. Then an accomplice drove her to Wimauma, tied her up and left her in a ditch on June 20.

Found by a passer-by, Moore said three Hispanic males had abducted her at gunpoint, sexually attacked her and stolen her vehicle. Moore owed $46,000 on the SUV, said Reder. Its current retail value in this area is a little more than $36,000, according to a price guide for used and new cars.

After listening to the tape, you can imagine the story she spun in the above incident. Held at gunpoint and sexually attacked.

In reality, she masterminded an elaborate scheme of insurance fraud. Dorice (alias DeeDee) Moore had someone drive her to a ditch and tie her up to fool police into thinking she was a victim. Did it work? Nope - convicted of fraud.

This was all done for $36,000. What would be done for $13,000,000?
