There is another odd factor in this accident. The original article, I've posted the link in my post, states Dee as being 22 in 2005. That's why we were doubtful as to the connection until Dee posted that the newspaper got it wrong. It was her and the Ledger made a typo as to her age.

yeah, they got it wrong or she helped them get it wrong

so non-life-threatening injuries put her in a wheelchair for three years?!

I don't want to say what I'm thinking but ... beyond the obvious scam we all no doubt see here, there is this other thing scammers have been known to do in terms of 'staging' car accidents

see: http://crime.about.com/od/scams/a/staged.htm

is it possible this was one of those & two people died as a result?

:furious:

If that were true, I'd want SOMEONE tried for MURDER.

Besides that, it's sickening that things like this are out on the internet.. while it is a cautionary article.. It's almost like it's a HOW-TO guide for scammers!

um, yeah but these are as old as well, me lol

IMO most scammers don't need to turn to the net to learn how since their parents/friends/lawyers teach them all they need to know

ETA: plus, I won't put anything past people who are greedy for money; they will defraud & lie & steal & eventually realize it's not getting them rich like they were foolish enough to believe & so they keep getting in thicker & deeper until eventually murder doesn't seem so bad, if only it will make them rich!

I'd believe that, but it was a head-on crash. Anyways, she would have picked a better "target".

More likely she's one of those people who'd get into a fender-bender and start yelling "OH, MY NECK!!" and leave in an ambulance. LOL

Polk City is a little hole in the wall. What was she doing there at 11pm? Not like it is a shopping mecca or anything. Is the Hummer she was driving the same one she has now?
I don't think it was a scam, I think it was a very tragic accident. I just am really curious how the Ledger got her date of birth that wrong. No way she looks like she is in her 20s. Not even close.

I've been lurking for about a year now and have read so many articles it makes my head spin.. lol

I notice media gets the facts wrong a lot of times.

Dee explained that the accident involved her 1st Hummer. Newspapers get their information from police reports. The accident is horrible; the age thing is strange. Another Dorice Moore driving a Hummer in Polk County is very low percentage; she's the only person that confirmed it was her through her posting.

Since nobody is helping me figure out how to post pictures, I've uploaded pictures of the two houses onto my profile - it's public.

I noticed the one in you album, labeled "Shaniya"; when you click on the thumbnail, you get the large version. In the new pictures, the thumbs just link to a thumb. Are you sure you uploaded the full size pics?

Once you ge the full size ones there it's easy to link to them. Just right click on the full size picture in the album, select properties, then copy the URL. Then in your post, place the open image tag, insert the url, and close the image tab.

For example:
Code:
<img>http://websleuths.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=1095&pictureid=9214,</img>
note: replace <> with open/close brackets
picture.php

I'm looking at Stitzel's shingle - don't think there's anything he doesn't handle
Marital & family
criminal defense
personal injury
civil litigation
business & corporate

Can someone help me out with step by step instructions to posting pictures? I can't get beyond a thumbnail.

upload to picture push, then it gives you link for forums, click on the picture symbol in advanced reply, past link from picturepush.

Phew, I am trying to read up on this case and it's just EXHAUSTING!!

Thanks to all of you here who are digging up all this info...it's all very confusing to me.:waitasec:

Has anyone thought of making a website to contain all these links, public records, aliases and newspaper articles as a sort of one-stop shop? A website with photos too might help get word out about his disappearance.

Edit: I'm snowed in through tomorrow with nothing else to do, I'd be glad to do the coding and constructing of a basic website...if I can get a volunteer to help me dig out all the links in the 3 threads, and if we could find somewhere to host it (free webspace perhaps?).

ill send you a pm after i feed my pups.

" "When I met her, she was in a wheelchair," Jackson said last week. Moore said she had been in a car accident. "She wheeled up right beside me."

Moore was part of a group of people Jackson told about Shakespeare and how he had changed her views about money. "It's not about money at all," Jackson said. "It's about helping people."

Moore told Jackson she was a writer and that she wanted to do a story on her and Shakespeare. Maybe even a book. Jackson set up a meeting. The three of them got together in Lakeland.

"When she came to the house," Jackson said, "she jumped out of a Hummer, walking. And she was on heels. She said she healed herself through scuba therapy. It wasn't even two weeks." "

lbm it's true, if you want them to appear full size, you will need to open up the pics/files (before uploading) ... hth... can't believe there's anything I understand that helps you... lol.....
