Jury Selection Under Way in 'DeeDee' Moore Case

Jurors who thought the length of the trial was too long and would upset their lives will also be questioned further to see if they should be excused. There were about 40 jurors who said the trial's length would be a hardship.

Judge Warns Moore to Stop Using Body Language to Communicate with Possible Jurors

| A judge scolded Dorice "DeeDee" Moore this morning for using body language to communicate to potential jurors being picked for her murder trial.

Wiping away tears, Moore, 40, insisted that she didn't want to appear rude, and was just looking at the jurors.

"It's just unfair," she said, crying.

The judge warned Moore twice on Monday about her body language. He instructed Moore's lawyers this morning to remind her for the last time to stop.

Moore's smile jogs memory in lottery-murder trial

Juror No. 58, a Plant City resident, said he didn't think he could serve on the jury because his teenage son has a couple of high school classes with Moore's son, R.J.

The juror said his son and his friends gossip about the case.

Juror No. 58, along with juror No. 14, were both dismissed by Circuit Judge Emmett Lamar Battles. But shortly after the juror from Plant City walked out of the courtroom, Moore had an emotional outburst and started crying.

Oh my gosh. She's going to make this trial last forever with her antics. I do hope this jury doesn't let her off. She's not stable, I believe she killed Abraham and society doesn't need this thread on our streets.
