I love the English language. Hearing her grammar and speech gives me the shivers...

"I haven't did anything."

They're playing a controlled call between Dee Dee Moore and Cedric Edom and I'm having a hard time understanding Cedric.

Plus sound either keeps cutting in and out or the court keeps blocking it, don't know which.

The jest of the call is that cops apparently wanted Dee Dee to call Cedric, which she did, and during the call she wanted Cedric to go to the cops and admit to the cops that he lied about a police report he filed but Cedric keeps telling her didn't file any report, but that some woman did.

Dee Dee keeps telling Cedric, (something like) "You need to tell them you really met with Abraham, then go to jail for a false police report, I'll give you bail money, and the money for your house but you're not going to be able to put the house in your name, put it in your kids names. Just go to jail for the false police report and I'll give Tammy (his wife) the money."

Not word for word but that's the jest of the call.... Lot of banter back and forth where she's obviously trying to get Cedric to admit to things and he's too smart for her and insists that she get off the phone and come to his house to talk instead.

Apparently there was a $5,000 payment she gave to Cedric that she is claiming to the cops that was for his electric bill (ME HERE: must be growing pot for a bill that high!), but the cops are now getting into Dee Dee's face, after the phone call, that wasn't what the money was for, bla bla bla.

If I recall correctly from previous news articles, the $5,000 was suppose to be for Cedric to get the Birthday card for Abraham's mother, get it signed and deliver it to Mrs Walker. It's obvious that Dee Dee doesn't want to admit to the cops that was what the $5,000 was for.

My heart goes out to those detectives having to deal with DDM.

Seriously, I can't imagine spending 5 minutes with her much less hour and hours.

I wish I could lip read what she's saying court to her attorney!! :waitasec:

Before our list of viewers down below gets any smaller... does anyone have an e-mail for the Tampa Day Times which would get to the right peeps to send them a message of appreciation for sending someone out today to put the feed up? Oh, and wouldn't it be nice if messages sent mentioned that we are soooo... grateful that they are covering this trial for us gavel-to-gavel?

ACR, thank you soooooooo much for your notes! I'd love to be able to take off work and watch this trial, but alas :dramaqueen:, I cannot.

You are my :hero:

Me, too. Based on the amount of talking and note-taking she is doing, and her attorney's body language as he talks to her, she seems to want to run the show and he's trying to explain why her ideas won't work.

Though I can't listen to the trial, I do peek at the link from time to time. She is constantly animated. So strange! And I keep trying to imagine her standing there and shooting Abraham. How can anyone be so cold, especially a woman who should be nurturing?

It just makes me  to look at her.

Kimster, your valued position right here on Websleuths is thanks enough :-)

I see there's a Facebook "LIKE" button on the upper right of the page where the live stream is being broadcast.

In this police interrogation during which the controlled call to Cedric is made, it becomes clear that DDM manipulates people by telling them what they saw or did. She says to him that he saw Abraham when it was clear he never did.

Now, she knows Abraham is dead and she is claiming that Cedric is setting her up by telling him everything LE told her he said. Over and over, she tells Cedric he saw Abraham at the WalMart.

Also, she offers to bail him out of jail if he goes to LE and retracts his missing person statement. She tells him that HE knows that Abraham is alive.

She is a severe Looney Tune!

I can't tell if this is just one controlled phone call or several. Dee Dee is accusing Cedric of telling the cops that she killed Abraham. He says he didn't say that. She tells Cedic something to the effect of "You know I met Abraham August 31st to sign that card (I assume it's the same card that was given to Abraham's mother)."

She keeps going over and over the same stuff wanting to corner Cedric to cover her butt. She's pretending she's in the car driving to Cedric's house.

Cedric is no angel, but this lady is as manipulative as they get.

It's obvious that Cedric doesn't know whether Abraham is dead or not. I'm sure he just wants the car and the money back. It's so very obvious that she thinks she can get the police off her case by simply getting Cedric to say he lied about the missing person's report.

It's so terribly obvious to me what she's doing, and I'm sure LE spotted a ton of red flags in that call. She literally handed herself over to them in her attempts to cover her butt.

Doesn't it make you wish the detective could have told us all of this back then? It reminds me that we just don't know at all what's going on behind the scenes in these cases.

Court is ending for the day.

8:30am is scheduled for Friday morning.

Now, whether Tampa Bay Times covers tomorrow remains to be seen. :banghead:

So set your alarms peeps :-)

I'm off to read more of the threads on this case. I'm just getting a handle on what's what with the Cast of Characters involved.

Found this on tampabay.com's website ....

Reach the online news staff for TampaBay.com (Story tips, corrections and feedback)

Email [email protected] or call (727)893-8215

Don't know if that is where we should send our appreciation thanks to or not but maybe using that email will get to the right persons.

I hope they will stream the entire trial ... I am sure once more people read about it they will join in.

Judge scolds Moore again

Today, he issued to Moore what he implied was a final warning:

"I have cautioned you throughout these proceedings, that any gestures, facial expressions, audible comments showing approval or disapproval are not acceptable," he said to Moore.

snip

Abraham Shakespeare's mother Elizabeth Walker took the stand and described conversations with Moore where she wasn;t sure if her son was alive or dead.

snip

"He was going to California, they said he had AIDS," Walker said.

"That's what Moore was telling you?" the attorney asked.

"Yes," Moore replied. Is this just bad editing? Shouldn't it read Ms. Walker replied?

Seriously what can the Judge do? Can he put her in a back room with audio and video and allow communication with her attorneys?

Would that be grounds for appeal? She thinks she can play the court like she has played so many in her well versed schemes throughout her life.

imo of course
