The defense rested its case Monday in the Dee Dee Moore murder trial.

It did so without calling any witnesses, including Moore, who announced Monday she wouldn't take the stand in her own defense.

More courtroom drama Monday

A woman who was a jail friend of Dee Dee Moore was thrown out of court on Monday.

The unidentified woman, who had been visiting Moore in jail and also sitting in on the trial, was thrown out of the courtroom by Hillsborough Circuit Judge Emmett Battles.

According to officials, deputies were monitoring the woman's conversations with Moore during a visitation at the jail. Officials said the woman told Dee Dee that someone needs to kick a witness' "" if they were looking at a juror the wrong way.

Not amused by the incident, Battles decided to remove the woman from the courtroom.
