I remember it being said that the family had been cleared but when I was listening to a NG episode for some reason my ear caught a detail I had not know prior.

I'll go see if I can find the link, it was an interview with LE there.

IIRC, he said something along these lines---Adji had been playing near his grandmother's home with playmate(s). An older sibling of that playmate(s) came to call them home for dinner. That left Adji alone approximately 100 Feet from his Grandmother's home.

Then LE said that Adji's stepfather came by 15 or so minutes later and Adji was gone. The stepfather had been returning from the laudromat.

Has LE stated explicitly that the step-father has been cleared of all suspicion? Not trying to stir a hornet's nest--it just caught my ear is all.

Kat, I asked that same question earlier in the thread. I can't say I'm satisfied that the step-father has been cleared.

Mother and step father of Adji have been cleared, per LE.
Adj'is father lives in Haiti.
The entire Farm Worker Village have been cleared as well.
