SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — An AMBER Alert was issued for a missing North Florida teen, possibly headed to Georgia.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement announced on Monday that 15-year-old Adriana Hernandez was last seen in the area of Bruce Lane in Milton.

According to the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office, Hernandez, described as a white-Hispanic female, stands 5-foot-1, weighs approximately 130 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes. Authorities say her hair may have a reddish-brown tint.

According to investigators, the case was initially reported as a runaway. However, due to developments in the ongoing investigation, officials have since upgraded the case to an Amber Alert, indicating they believe the teen may have been abducted.
