Here's the best I could do to screen grab the Shelter Order document from the embedded video. :tears:

Court Documents Detail Hollywood Toddler’s Final Hours « CBS Miami (updated with image of step"mom")

When the boy was located, investigators noted he had extensive bruising from head to toe and that his stomach was distended and bloated. Osceola reportedly told them the bruised came from her son constantly running into things and bumping his head because he was clumsy.

Investigators say Osceola, who is two months pregnant, said she had thoughts of suicide since Ahziya’s seven month old sister, C**** (redacted), was only two months old.
...
Police say both Nelson and Analiz Osceola tested positive for marijuana at the time of the incident.

I hate to say it, but the writing is on the wall for a possible Post Partum Psychosis / Depression or other MH defense here. Fasten your seatbelts. I am disgusted. She had NO business being allowed to care for these children if she was having suicidal ideation. Point. Blank. Period.

She was living with a nurse. Someone should have seen the signs. There were countless opportunities to save Azihya's precious LIFE! :tantrum:

Why didn't anyone care? She was (is) pregnant and smoking pot in a home where a nurse lives, caring for young children? Come ON! :banghead:

On further questioning, Osceola reportedly told investigators what had really happened.

Osceola said Thursday morning she was asleep in the same room with her son C, 5, and Ahziya when she heard him grunting, according to investigators. When she got up to check on him he was “slightly cold to the touch, but still warm,” according to court documents.

Osceola said she put him on the floor and attempted to do CPR. She then tried to get him to drink some Pedialyte. She reportedly told investigators that she decided this wasn’t a good idea and tried to get him to vomit the fluid by sticking her finger down his throat. She again performed CPR and could get a pulse, according to court documents.

?!? so what did she say he died of? She had a child with no pulse on her hands and made the unconscious child drink Pedialyte? I'm confused what her story is.

It'll be interesting to see what comes of the interview tomorrow with Ahizya's brother.

Where is Ahizya's father in all of this? Was he cleared? We're the bruises all new or were some older? Who was with Ahizya the night of the 18th (since he allegedly woke his step-mom up by grunting)?

Why? Why? What? Who? This couldn't have been the first time he was abused. Just a possible psychotic break? I don't buy it. No one stood up for him? As my fellow poster likes to say...

Whiskey. Tango. Foxtrot.

Well, now we have documented drug (marijuana) use by the custodial parents of Azihya - and Analiz Osceola is 2 months pregnant, with an infant, and two small children at home (at least she did until March 19th  )

Upthread we learned they had just been granted temporary custody of Azihya last month. These are major stressors / life changes for any family unit without dealing with suicidal ideation.

We also know Azihya was seen bruised and in pain when he would see his mom, KC and paternal grandfather. I distinctly recall KC reported her concerns to DCF in at least one embedded video upthread. Still, custody remained with the O's.

Many red flags were missed! The unborn child Analiz is carrying now is in grave danger, yet I am incensed that the adjudication process for Ahizya is stymied because she has been Baker acted.

Her actions after the fact speak loud and clear IMO. Drug use / abuse is not a valid defense for murder. Did she know what she did to her step-son was wrong? Everything I've read so far tells me she did.

I agree, the forensic interview of C on Thursday will be crucial. That poor little guy has so much resting on his shoulders. The last place he needs to be is with a family member that may try to influence him, IMO. This is about the best interest of the children, nothing else matters. Certainly not the defense of anyone who hurt his brother. That's just how I see it.

I hope beyond all hope that no one is trying to influence him. We have no way of knowing. I hope my concerns are wrong. He's lost enough as it is.

Her story doesn't add up. Her waking up and giving him CPR and then putting him back in his bed (dead) until Dad left for work doesn't fly. I wouldn't be surprised to hear Dad is involved somehow.

And she went into cover-up mode. She bagged him and hid him in a box and then didn't call LE for FOUR hours. Then she told LE not only was Ahizya missing, she was robbed. This innocent child's body was decomposing in a freakin garbage bag in her laundry room while she sent LE on a wild goose chase!

Sorry, I'm not buying post-pardum. And IMO she knew the right words to say to buy herself 72 hours in a hospital rather than an immediate trip to jail. Maybe I'm being cynical, but I have zero sympathy for her and her alleged 5 months of suicidal thoughts. She only mentioned this when she was in the hot seat and caught lying about what she did to Ahizya? Okay.

And damn DCF for not protecting Ahizya!! They had TWO chances since he was in his father's/stepmother's care to save him and they blew it! Ugh I'm so damn mad!!!

You said it better than I could, Greater Than.

It all screams 100% manipulation!

If you will recall, the "dad" only asked about her son at the shelter hearing. He's the only witness that can speak for Ahizya.

HINKY? You bet your :censored:

Disgusted and angry doesn't even begin to describe how I feel about the so-called adults in this house - especially these two "parents." Analiz's mom, the nurse, answers to a higher level of responsibility. Her licensure deserves to be reviewed for a child dying on her watch! :gaah:

Yeah, I said it!

BBM - that was an error. He was removed from his mother's care in Jan 2014 after the drunk hotel room incident. Dad got full custody then. He's had him for a year and two months.

I know, right? By far she has made some serious mistakes. But in doing so, Ahizya was literally thrown to the wolves.

The court ordered parenting classes had to be completed. Meanwhile, he was being continually abused. It appears she tried to advocate for him, but it fell on deaf ears! DCF is also accountable here. I don't believe Nelson didn't know what was happening. The same goes for Analiz's mother.

No way those bruises, and the aftermath (an injured little boy) can go unnoticed.

Based on the timeline, Analiz went through an entire pregnancy with Ahizya in her home. He wasn't her son. IIRC, KC also has twins, and was living just a few houses away.

Knowing your son was being hurt (and eventually killed) but just out of reach will haunt her (KC) forever.

I hope LE throws the book at AO (and NO if they can prove he played any part in this). Anyone who hurt Little Ahizya must be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.

He was worth SO much more than this. He deserved to LIVE!

GRRRRRRR!

Hiya, kimi -

I am catching up here, so I'm behind about a day's worth...

UTC time is Coordinated Universal Time -- It is the same as Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) and will prolly start being used more & more often since GMT is becoming passe, for whatever reason...

I am posting this at 4:49pmEDT -- which is 8:49pmGMT/UTC time.

(I'm prolly the 5th person who has answered your question, which wasn't really a question, so forgive if you have UTC-fatigue!

What a horrifying outcome we have here. :(

Can't bring myself to say anything else.

Documented calls of abuse...no abuse found / case closed. I actually hate to type that we have heard this before. Case closed, no abuse found. Now, however, this angel is gone and it is too late to go back and REALLY investigate.  This child did NOT deserve to die! Ahizya deserved to live in happiness. It already sounds like she is going to claim postpartum. But, if it really was just PPD, then were the other babies abused? Why can't women love someone else's child? I do not and cannot ever understand.

And, don't get me started on the wonderful, wonderful women out there that want a child and are unable to have one. They would SO love these beautiful babies. These babies would not be abused, but they would be cherished. Loved unconditionally. The world would be their canvas.

Ahizya Osceola's Siblings Ordered to Be Taken From Father as Police Continue Investigation | New Times Broward-Palm Beach
5 hours ago

(snip)
Nelson Osceola, meanwhile, has retained the services of an attorney, telling Broward Circuit Court Judge Hope Tieman Bristol on Monday, "I have to talk to my lawyer, you know what I'm saying? I don't want anything being [misunderstood]. I just buried my son yesterday. I'm just trying to find peace with myself right now, you understand? My son is gone."

More@Link (Not that it will be accurate / reliable)

This media outlet has the wife's name as C****** Rodenzo (that's the son, isn't it? The published court docs directly conflict with this....)
