Did Ginger JD wear braces?
Impossible to know. From earlier posts, LE think she MAY have had crooked teeth but not sure because "Dentals: Loose teeth found during screenings of surrounding soil."

@Meligirl and @Xymena welcome to the thread, I see you are relatively new to posting on WS. Please feel free to take the time to read right back through the case thread, since there is quite a lot of information in there.

Those who very familiar with "Ginger's" case, do you think she could be Deborah Lea Hudler? Deborah was just added to NamUs in January. Her link:

Has anyone mentioned Patricia Salamandyk from Alberta Canada? June 1972 16yo 5'7" 121lbs, she took the bus to school but noted after disembarking that she would not be attending school that day. There are notes on some sources that at least one person was speculating she was planning on going to Edmonton.

Everyone in US I'd have guessed for this Doe has been ruled out, including Cynthia Constantine, Judy Davis, Jamie Grissim, Charlotte Loomis, and Kathy Wilcox.

While Patricia does look like she could be her, the distance involved is considerable. The mention of Ann Arbor with Ginger might make this more feasible, seeing Ann Arbor is a 45 minute drive to the Canadian border.

posting this with permission from the detective on the case. i uploaded my DNA profile to GEDmatch & within a week got bombarded with messages and calls from FL. my dna was flagged as niece to Ginger. my mom and her older sister were given up for adoption in the late 50's. my mom was 8months and her older sister Tina was 2-3 years old. they were adopted by different families. we looked for years trying to get information on Tina, what happened to her, who adopted her and always hit red tape because of adoption crap. due to my dna, detective was able to get her adoptive parent's names released (adoptive family is all gone except the son who has dementia) his daughter was able to give my aunt's name after the adoption and what kinda happened to her.. the daughter said that her father told her when she was younger that my aunt left home at 16-17 to go to cali to become a dancer/actress so after she left no one reported her missing and that was the last they had seen/heard of her. this would have been in 72-73, the year she died. sometime after she left the family, they moved to NC from michigan. sadly after reaching out to the adoptive family detective was informed that they do not have any photos of her.

as of several weeks ago Ginger has her legal adoptive name - Marianne Hartman, birth name - Tina Periso.

this is the only photo i have of my aunt and her bio mother. Tina is the baby in the front looking to the left, Barbra (bio mom) is the girl in the center looking at the baby.

if anyone can help me find info/photo of marianne hartman, please help. my mother doesnt remember her sister but she has looked for years. we would like to know what she looks like, her birthday, anything possible. Tina's remains will be sent up here to finally come home.

we know that she was 2-3 years older than my mom so birth year should be 55-56 and class of 73 or 74. detective said around the caro area is where he believes she was raised. (which is nuts because we live 20min from caro).

Ginger has her identity back and shes going home. (yes i know ortham hasn't updated/released it yet, i check everyday waiting for it)

This is really great news. It has been more than 72 years since she was found. Now finally an identification.

It is possible that a high school yearbook might have a photo of her.

It was determined back in 1973 that she was a homicide victim. This is still officially an unsolved murder case.

53 years shes been a jane doe. thats why i posted here, reddit, and FB hoping someone could locate a yearbook with her in it. only thing i have is her birth name and adoptive name of marianne hartman. im still sad that the family didnt report her missing. but the 70s were a different time.

right now its still officially an unsolved murder case. however, its open and they are working on it again because her names have been found.

FB got some direct hits of info even though its conflicting info. the adoptive dad's name was wendell, adoptive mom was jean, tina's birthday is may of 56, and was in caro schools up until 5th grade in class of 75. tinas full birth name was Tina Marie Reynolds, her bio mother was Barbara Reynolds and bio father was William Periso (everyone mentioned is passed away now).

the great niece of the couple who adopted tina said that the family did look for her, but was shocked there was no missing persons report. there are very few family members left that would have known her/remember her but is going to contact them tomorrow to find out any information they can give & if they have any photos of her as the yearbook hunt isn't going very well.

Is it possible she could have ended up living with a family or in a home in Ann Arbor after leaving Caro? I know a witness who believed she held onto a purse for this Jane Doe told police the girl was from Ann Arbor...I know we can't verify if it was the same girl or not but it might give you a starting point to look. I hope you can find more info...she was so young and certainly didn't deserve what happened to her.
