in the police report it does say foot print.... and not shoe print... and right after verifies that the child's shoes are indeed inside the home (seemed like le checking to verify that the child had been taken without shoes to determine if the foot print could be a link)

If this print is verified to be fresh then to me this would indicate foul play unless Misty did something to the child a lot earlier on.

Trying to find a link, but it was mentioned on FCN. Ironically, I don't have much time because it's nearly an hour past time for me to take my son to his mother's house for her weekend visitation. I just can't pull myself away from the story.

Looks to me like the dog tracked passed both the closest SO's house on Monroe AND Misty's brother's house on Tyler.

I would love to know what that part is that's blacked out.

I'd bet that the k9's may have tracked towards Misty's brother's trailer is just a short walk through those woods out back their house

I think this early in the story we don't need a "Devil's advocate". (Besides, I think it breeds ill will between us and causes a division. Why divide into two camps like we have been known to have happen in the recent past? Where did it actually get us?)

There are not enough facts coming out yet to determine what happened. I prefer to go the route of "think tank" a bit more so we can broaden the scope instead of narrow it right now. When we have more of a POI or Suspect, we can then concentrate solely on the person/persons. Until then...everyone is suspect, imo.

come on SS...you silly! You know I was just joking! But I do not believe this girlfriend did anything except perhaps leave the door unlocked. (I have already offered my hat up for eating several times today but I will do it again LOL) For me there are plausible explainations for what have some so exasperated over Misty's affect and statements. I would like to know what Haleigh was wearing that day and it be verified by someone other than family, like the a/c man etc...

If she was wearing a t shirt and tan shorts that day, rut roh, that's a slip of the mind and they made a crucial mistake in their alibis and planning.

The child especially if she is a bedwetter would have been put to bed in something other than shorts, more to clean up, harder to clean up in the middle of the night. If I were the caretaker, I would have those over nighters on her for children, definately not shorts, can you imagine how hard those would be to pull off during the nighttime when everyone is sleepy. Then finding dry covers.

Sounds like she had on her daytime play clothes to me. I think this is a critical tidbit to father and gf story. Though kids do go to bed with shorts on, just more unlikely.

If the AC man remeber what Haleight was wearing that a red flag IMO.

Is the bio mom only 19? the police report states her bday as 8/30/1989 and says 19. that would make her 14 when she had Haleigh. OMG!!

Which would make him 20! Look, I know back in the day this was not a huge problem for people..But now it is against the law..It is flat out against the law and has been since this guy was 20!

She lacks confidence. She doesn't believe in herself b/c no one has ever believed in her. I think that is why she comes across so poorly. Not well educated and a "doormat" for lack of a better term.

If she lacks confidence, wouldnt' she come straight out and just tell the truth and say she's not sure the events that night, as opposed to making up all different versions?

Yes dad said that she did not believe it but I watched it to I think you mis-understood I think I heard clearly him say she called him at 5:00. Crystal got the call at 3:49 drove out there 1 hr away from where they live right time to get there at 5 and call dad. Oh my god it's really true??

Misty just turned 17 years old in December.
Haleigh's mom is only 19 years old right now!!
She was 14 when she had Haleigh!!!!!
She turned 15 two weeks after giving birth.
Ron was two months short of being 20 at the time.

Actually Nedthan - the police report goes on to say the officer entered the building to ensure it was empty and the track continued to the railroad tracks where the dogs lost the scent. Maybe you didn't get all the pages or something? I don't know?

I wish I had more time to dig up the article I read before coming on line today. Because I could have sworn I read Crystal was 24. Police reports can be wrong. Let's hope that's the only part that is wrong. Nite folks!
