I wonder how Misty has gotten by with not being in school? If Florida is anything like Texas they have to be in school until age 18 and are no longer allowed to quit and take the GED test before then. If she were here and they could find her records, her mother would be getting about a $500 fine and threatened with jail and I doubt if it would matter if she lived with a man or not.

Oh dear...here we go again.
Watching geraldo and maternal grandma says she doesn't "feel" Haleigh is in Fl.
"For some reason I keep thinking Alabama or Georgia" "Alabama or Georgia, maybe the Stateline."

Why would she think those places?:waitasec:

Heck, at least Haleighs folks didn't wait 31 days.

eeeash...next comes GA!! IMO he shouldn't be sticking his nose in this, imo, he has no business and isn't a part of this particular "club".

Signed,
"club member" of an abducted/murdered family member. (no 31 day wait either) :(

i asked that earlier, the general consensus was that the locals are avoiding the drama. I have never seen a case where nobody was talking. IMO either an extremely close town, or everyone is afraid to speak for some reason.

Afraid to speak because of the recent publicity in Orlando. JMHO

..you may already have your answer, but i remember reading it on 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬:

quote : He says, "I know somebody took my little girl...some sorry piece of trash that will be wasted when its all over." This is baffling to me. Haleigh was once found floating in a nearby waterway and nearly drowned. "

And it also referred to his 911 call tone as "feigned anger", I so got that feeling the first time I heard it. "If I get to them before you do", I 'm sorry, just sounds like some BS...I am not getting a good feel about this father.

I'll pour the coffee for anyone coming back in the morning, I am calling it a night. I'm starting to make nasty, off topic posts, and I am getting sick looking at this girlfriend and the dad. I am in rural N.C. I have seen my share of nice'uns, but these two just make me more and more suspicious, and I think I should be respectful and go nite nite.

Misty's father Hank has a reference of Madison TN (incorporated into Nashville) I guess it's like a suburb that the city grew around maybe?

I finally saw a clip with the bandaid today and he looks like he got a haircut from when I saw him on that first day. Maybe the shears nicked him on the back of his neck.
Nope - I still think sometime during day one - right after the collapse to his knees - he blew and probably at a detective or CSI and had to be "restrained" and during that he gots himself tazed.

Or I had another thought - do they make "patches" for like a valium or something like that? Could the bandaid have been covering some kind of patch to keep him calm?

do you guys think LE would interview a 4 year old? Serious question. I had no idea.

very very gently and with a youth worker in the room. Lots of toys and such.
They talk and they play and make it as simple as possible.

In Florida you can quit at 16. Parents won't be charged. BUT, if you quit - you can't get your drivers license and if you have one it is revoked. No license until you present a GED or turn 21. But yes, you can quit at 16 with no repercussions.

This news article talk about it

how could you revive a baby and not call 911
I don't understand

I was just reading through the custody court hearing where he was given custody, it is linked a couple of pages back. The bio mom admitted in court to having used cocaine in the past, like a year prior I believe she said..I think this would have made it around the time of the "accident."
Maybe this is why paramedics were not called..

I don't think people where valium patches on the neck. It's also way to big of a bandage to be a shaving nic.

You would have to miss a LOT of school I think for a parent to be arrested. However, I've heard of it happening. I think it's called truancy abuse. There was a little boy in my daughters kindergarten class who had missed like 28 days of school (around that) and CPS was called and the parents were issued a court date. They weren't arrested, but they had some sort of fine and punishment. I think the laws vary by state though.

Here is one parent that arrested in FL, charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

http://cbs2chicago.com/watercooler/parents.arrested.students.2.881592.html

From that article:

Florida law defines "habitual truant" as a student who has 15 or more unexcused absences within 90 calendar days with or without the knowledge or consent of the student's parent or guardian and who is subject to compulsory school attendance

Has anyone learned anything about why the father has that bandage on his neck?
---------------------------------------------------------
I don't know why.
There was speculation that he was covering a tattoo that he did not want everyone to see.
PURE SPECULATION.

I heard it mentioned before early on that dad works 12 hour shifts and they mentioned it again tonight on Geraldo, so if he works 12 hours, how does he get Haleigh off the bus at 3:45pm and get home from work at 3:27am? If he gets her off the bus at 3:45pm, figure leaves for work at 4pm, doesn't get there until almost 4:30pm, how is he home at 3:27am from a 12 hour shift?

I think the FL age is 16.

Yup I was just thinking..now I am not sure that the neck would be the first place someone would slap a valium patch on...:)

I'm not sure where he got it. I thought it might have been shaving but that's an odd place to shave. Who knows? Someone said a hickey but...now I'm not sure that the back of the neck up near the hairline...:)

That is sad, but I don't really know "Misty's life". It sort of makes me feel mad with the "Dad", free babysitter and whatever else comes with it.

I thought he went to work later than 3 and that it was less than a 12 hour shift. I don't know for sure though.
