deja vu?

This reminds of another story recently told by a young mother not to be mentioned here, and the person whom she said stole her daughter, but when showed pics of her, she said that wasn't her.........jmo

and to add my 2 cents..if it is a relative, doesn't anyone have a picture? aunts, uncles, cousins, parents, grandparents????

Someone said that on Geraldo the bio mom and her mother were on and one of them said "RJ knows what happened". When was this show ? I must have missed it.

It was tonight's geraldo. And she just said the RJ knew Haleigh was missing.

do you guys think LE would interview a 4 year old? Serious question. I had no idea.
---------------------------------------------------------
In most states, a child has to have a children's advocate and be there with LE. I don't know about Florida. Maybe the parent has to be there also.
If the 4 yr old was asleep, then doubtful he would know. But he would know how things are in the family: arguments, how they are disciplined,
does sister Haleigh wet the bed, what bed does he usually sleep in, who was there before he went to bed. What did he watch on tv before he went to sleep?

I don't know if this comment has been discussed at lenght but its something that made me stop and think since it was made. The BioMother Crystal said on Nancy Grace the other night that Haleigh had missed a lot of school. She said a comment something like that Ronald said Haleigh had to go to school b/c if she missed anymore days that HE would be arrested. My question for all of you is WHY would they arrest him for that? I remember when BioMOm was asked about this that she wouldn't really answer the question.

I just found that odd.

You would have to miss a LOT of school I think for a parent to be arrested. However, I've heard of it happening. I think it's called truancy abuse. There was a little boy in my daughters kindergarten class who had missed like 28 days of school (around that) and CPS was called and the parents were issued a court date. They weren't arrested, but they had some sort of fine and punishment. I think the laws vary by state though.

They have just enacted new tougher laws on school attendance. Too many juveniles are skipping and committing crime during the day. The public schools take this very seriously and it is automatic (computerized) that when a child reaches some many unexcused absences - a report is forwarded to the DA's office for prosecution. At the elementary level - you are given some leeway - Haleigh had documentation of her condition - so I don't understand why so much pressure was being put on dad - but, then again, we don't know how many days she had missed either.

Makes sense. I just wonder what the heck she was missing so much school for? It really makes you wonder.

Ok - I stopped. Took several huge deep breaths. And decided to start with what we know. I went back to the police report.

There is a witness completely blacked out. Any ideas on who this is? I was thinking it might be Jr.

Then in the narrative - there is an entire paragraph blacked out - right after it says that Teresa (paternal gma) provided a school picture of Haleigh.

There is also a sentence or two blacked out in the middle of the description of the dog tracking.

Any thoughts on what LE decided should NOT be released in an initial police report on a missing 5 yr old?

I saw that and was curious as to why that person was blacked out.Only reason I can think of is a juvenile.

exactly, and why arent more details coming out on websites, blogs, news story comments, etc. I heard a rumor tonight that Misty was on drugs, and had disappeared a few days prior to this and boyfriend had to go and "get her" It was on one of the news sites in the comments section. You would think locals would e running wild, but maybe with the poor cellphone/internet connection, it isnt possible for alot of folks

Who is RJ?

Haleigh's little brother who turned 4-years-old today. He's Ronald junior, and they refer to him as junior. Crystal's mother said that he understands what's happened.

i think they would, in a very gentle way. i think in this case they would have had to. JMO

Yes I am certain Jr. must be the redacted witness questioned in report... and feel hopeful that w skill and sensitivity LE obtained some good info from Jr. Just hope LE was able to question outside presence of dad who might intimidate. JMO

No, Crystal (the mother) said R.J. knows what has happened..meaning it like R.J. knows that Haleigh is not here for his birthday because she is missing.

Ronald could have a court mandated family plan.
Children's Services (Fl. equivalent) could have been called in and they have a plan that includes making sure Haleigh is in school, on time, appropriately dressed, had breakfast or signed up for any reduced lunch program. Taking appropriate medications, if needed.
If so, Ronald C family would have a case manager from social services. But I do not think social services can speak about any case.
Not when I was doing that kind of work anyway.

I wonder that too. Her parents (both the mother and father) have stated that "she's sick a lot" but besides that, I don't know.

The big thing that could put him under threat of arrest if the child misses anymore school most likely involves the mysterious Child Protaective Services dealings with the family and household.

Normally if the child missed alot of school, it would not immediately trigger an arrest. Unless it was already part of the terns that CPS has laid out to avoid action.

i asked that earlier, the general consensus was that the locals are avoiding the drama. I have never seen a case where nobody was talking. IMO either an extremely close town, or everyone is afraid to speak for some reason.

That's IF DCS was called in. I don't think they had been. I know in Florida that schools (teachers) have the authority to withhold AFDC checks if the parent doesn't come in for conferences and such - documentation has to be done and proper notices sent to make sure the parent is just blowing it off but once you have enough documentation you can hold that welfare check! This I know.

read it here way back in one of the first threads. can't remember if there was actually something linked to verify.

..you may already have your answer, but i remember reading it on 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬:

quote : He says, "I know somebody took my little girl...some sorry piece of trash that will be wasted when its all over." This is baffling to me. Haleigh was once found floating in a nearby waterway and nearly drowned. "

The school system in FL is strict about attendance. I think it has something to do with the Federal money they get. My son is prone to inner ear infections with a high fever and even at 15 with out a Dr's note the school give me a hard time. I do believe they are allowed to miss 4 days in a quarter.
