I felt that Crystal wanted to say more about Misty and her ex. She kept her mouth closed but it seemed as if she wasn't being truthful when she said she didn't think they were involved in anyway while speaking to Geraldo.

Did anyone else notice that??

Yea CuriosityCat, I noticed that and my friend made a comment about it right away.

I don't see her being involved but thinks she is holding back.


One thing I do know is that LE is going to have a really good read on the case by now. If they think it was a stranger, or a neighbor, close or distant family member or even Ron or Misty, they have a good reason for feeling what they do. I have complete trust in their learned and intuitive instincts. ;}

Seems like Biomoms attorney would have received the paperwork and notified her.

Unless she didn't have an atty. Though, I've seen the nastiness on both sides in various custody cases.... I'm not sure it's relevent here, unless Crystal staged the abduction to win back custody- and that is pure speculation on my part. (and if that were the case, why wait for a safe Haleigh to appear after her brothers birthday????? ) IMO, I'll refrain from the custody issues because there are always two sides to a story. jmo

I had no idea she had a life insurance policy on Haleigh!

I can't quote that, I know I heard it here, but it was after the incident with her almost drowning.(When Haleigh was 2) Does anyone else remember where that came from?

I forgot to quote the poster who thought that dad didnt know about cousins visit, and so I was answering, saying if he didnt know cuz visited, then who did the gun being gone get blamed on. I think if the story is true (big IF) dad must have known cuz was there, b/c his gun was gone...

OMG!!!! Misty's cousin from Tennessee came to FL and he had messed with Misty when she was 13 years old. OMG someone in one of the other threads said this today as a theory. Who was it? They said maybe Misty had someone over that messed with her as a child and thats how they knew the house.

Wow, I said this earlier...I think it might have been my post you were referring to. How bizarre. Not sure if I'm feeling it all the way, but it just makes the most sense to me as far as WHY they would have been so confident to turn on lights, and why she might be reluctant to report to the dad "Hey, this guy harmed me, but I still let him around your kid". Maybe she thought the dad would flip on her.

But I don't know. Just one theory.

me too. i think LE may have told them to not say anything bad about ron and misty to lure them into a false sense of security.

i think that jeremy miller was misty's boyfriend. i guess it wouldn't be too surprising if he was her cousin too. seriously though, i don't think she was referring to him. i thought craig said something about same last name as misty? or did he mean a SO with same name that misty named but she said it was wrong guy?

you would hope she wouldn't be dumb enough to make up this story about the cousin. her family would have to know that it was BS. would they turn her in? wouldn't ron know if this was true? (unless the cousin came all the way from tenn and then only stayed for an hour while ron was at work). if ron verifies the story about the cousin, then i would believe that it is either true or he and misty are in this together.

There is a carpet cleaning company and a heating/AC company here that advertise that they do criminal background checks on all of their employees. They don't specifically state SOs, nor so they say that they don't hire them, just say that they check. I would like to think they would be safe. We also have the ability here to search specific addresses, so you can check to see if there are any SOs working for a company.

She's never had any credibilty with me & now she's shot it right to hell with her new "Georgie or Alabamba" theory

Misty must be desperate, and I would imagine terrified of Ron if he finds out she lied.

I keep wondering if she's been propping the back door open and sneaking out for AWHILE. SO living in the neighborhood "trolling" around the area could have seen a pattern and knew when she usually returned to the house.

So she takes her blanket out to her visitors van (no rug burns, kids won't hear anything), maybe goes in the house to pee, and realizes Haleigh is gone.

Tells friend to get the he!! out of Dodge, but maybe she doesn't have time to think out a story to tell.

If Ron punches a time card, I would imagine she'd know to expect him home at a predictable time.

Around here, DC area, there are certain companies like that which advertise that their employees have all passed background checks prior to employment, carpet cleaning services, etc...

That was kind of you. No one has ever said that to me before. It brought tears to my eyes.

I truly don't think things will change for SA victims until we can do something with the judges that go easy on their abusers.

I wish I knew the answers. I don't. I had a County Sheriff tell me that they have to walk on eggshells with these guys or their attorney's sue LE. LE gets frustrated also.

Could there be more than one of them? Cousins who are SO's? It wouldn't surprise me with all we have found out about the family and that neighorhood of SO's.

Right now not much would surprise me in this case either.

I came away with the same sense, can't put my finger on it yet. The whole bunch has SO's in their entire family and aquaintances. She mentioned the gun too. Wondering if that is missing and LE hasn't made much of that to the public yet either. That could be a major clue, saying it's stolen makes it impossible for LE to see if it was fired recently and then later when it's found, it takes it out of the dad's hands.

Yes this troubles me too... claiming a gun stolen.

It makes you wonder what to pray and hope for, doesn't it? I was contemplating this when I thought about Brooke Bennett and wonder if I pray for the right things that they are still alive and with their captors? (sigh)

I praise God for His mercy.

Well they do have family from TN. On Lindsy's myspace page there is a picture of 3 kids and the caption says family from TN

Under Misty's dad - it lists Madison and Nashville as TN cities.
