Also, I think the reason Tim Miller said he doesn't think there will be a good outcome here is because of the statistics on missing children - that a lot of them are killed very shortly after being taken. And that the more time that passes without finding the child, the less likely it is that the child is dead.

Pesonal observations:
Bio mom still can't look at the camera, eyes all over the place.
Her and her mother's body language is at odds with their words.
Bio mom's sobbing stopped as soon as she was no longer facing the camera.
