GUILTY FL - Amelia Sookdeo, 17, burned alive, Ocoee, 25 Feb 2006

  • #21
Being burned alive would probably be the most painful death. Worse than having your eyes cut out or your body parts cut off, if you think about it. It's the sickest way to suffer in my eyes. Skin burning soo painful and just dripping off of you...ugh it is sad to think about.

This guy should be set on fire and left to suffer like she did..:furious:

I have to agree with your here, wildangel. Yet I could never have a hand in making anyone suffer this same fate. I like to think that's what sets me apart from being just like him.

Jury recommends death
The Orange County jury voted 10 to 2. The same jury found 21-year-old Dane Abdool guilty of first-degree murder last week for the 2006 death of 17-year-old Amelia Sookdeo. (more at link)

So how long will it take till he's put to death in FL?

It'll take way too long. A death penalty in Florida triggers an automatic appeal, and I'm sure that will trigger another appeal.....this sadistic horrifying excuse for a human being will be breathing, eating and relaxing in front of a TV for decades.

If it is any consolation, according to my BIL who suffered horrible burns, the body quickly goes into shock when burning, and no pain is felt at all.

I have heard this mentioned casually many times but didn't really believe it until I asked my cousin, a neurologist, about it at a family gathering. He said that when someone sustains third-degree burns nerve ends in the affected area are immediately destroyed and therefore no pain signal is transmitted to the brain until the nerves regenerate, which can take days or even weeks. He says severe burn victims usually won't need any painkillers until some time after the event unless they have sustained second-degree burns (the most immediately painful type of burn) in other areas of their bodies. When third-degree burn victims start asking for painkillers it means the recovery process has begun. Thank God when they ask for the meds they do get them but that wasn't always the case a few decades ago.

Apparently until the 1980's this regeneration process was little understood by the medical community and patients were often denied appropriate pain medication under the false assumption that since they hadn't complained initially then they couldn't be in more pain then they had been immediately following the event. Quite sadly this resulted in many patients suffering such unspeakable pain that it literally killed many of them. Nowadays they are appropriately medicated, often through the so-called "morphine pump" that allows the self-adjustment of dosage for patients aged 10 and over, and their survival and recovery rate has vastly improved. Patient addiction to opiate painkillers remains a possibility but it doesn't happen nearly as often as many people would think. The current stance of the AMA on the issue is that in presence of intensely painful conditions possible addiction to opiates should not even be an issue and that if it happens it will be dealt with in due time. The only short-term objective to consider is alleviation of pain and this can only be achieved with strong opiate narcotics.

According to my cousin third-degree burns over 70% of the body is not survivable due to intense shock. The body quickly shuts down by blocking all nerve impulses to the brain which results in immediate loss of consciousness followed by the failure of vital organs within seconds. I can only hope that this is what happened with this unfortunate girl. :(

Good this 🤬🤬🤬 got what he deserved!!

If he had life without parole, inmates with daughters this girl's age would have access to him. With the death penalty, he will be protected from them. Oh well, there's always the shower days...
