FL - Anna Kepner, 18, dies aboard Carnival cruise ship traveling from Miami to Caribbean, FBI launch probe, 7 Nov 2025

  • #301

"I found out through Google. I ended up Googling it, because the only information I had was that my daughter was on a cruise," said Heather Wright, the mother.

Wright has not heard from Anna Kepner's father or the FBI since her daughter's death.

Early next month? Why the delay? These parents scare the crap out of me! IMO
I agree! I think leaving him in the hospital for mental evaluation would have been the thing to do. JMO

I've got one thing to say about what I heard on that video... and that's Holy Moly! Mind blown! 🤯
How on earth could you ban the biological mother from going to her daughter's funeral? Un-freaken believable.

* video is a MUST WATCH. There’s a clip from a hearing today and interview with Anna’s boyfriend's father.

Inside Edition

More information has been released about the death of an 18-year-old cheerleader on a cruise ship. Anna Kepner's former boyfriend says Kepner's 16-year-old stepbrother, who is now a suspect in her death, was obsessed with her. Her funeral took place in Orlando Thursday. Because the investigation into her death involved her stepbrother, there is tension among family members and some have been told they were not welcome to the funeral. Kepner's biological mother spoke with Inside Edition. #CrimeUpdate #CruiseShip

If i was bio mom, i wouldn't describe my disguise and show the boots i was gonna wear, wonder how that worked out?
And who's in charge of the vigil, and why would family members who weren't around when Anna passed, not be allowed?

There's three kinds of people that book inside cabins
1) Those that just can't afford anything nicer.
2) Those that plan to spend most of their time partying, and the cabin is just a place to crash at night and then sleep in without the sun waking them up.
3) As a second cabin to stick the kids in.

If you like to hang out in your cabin all day relaxing, you book a balcony cabin, so it wouldn't surprise me if no one was home next door to heat anything. Or if they did if they thought it was just some kids roughousing and goofing around while the parents were down the hall in their balcony cabin.
We never book inside cabins even though we are out of the cabin most of the time…NOT partying. I don’t believe there could have been too much of a fight because you can hear anything loud and noisy no matter what cabin you book…even suites. This is all so sad. The toxicology report will be so important.

Those are some serious allegations the father of her ex-BF made about the step-brother. Like... HUGE! And after that they shared a cabin??? You don't mix teen boys and girls unchaperoned together! At least I wouldn't recommend it. It's asking for trouble, and I wasn't talking about the kind of trouble that came out of this shared room situation. JMO
I didn't understand the allegation about the ex bf seeing the step brother lay on top of Anna while she was sleeping, that he saw that in a FaceTime call? If she was asleep, why was a FT call going on? And i wonder if Anna tried to tell dad and step mom. And they just say, guess who your cruise roommate is?

Disfunctional comes to mind.
Psych visits are notoriously hard to book. Hopefully he's in jail by that time and he court can assign him an appointment with someone else?

I have the same question about the FT call while she was asleep. That didn’t make sense.

I "almost" have this family "burning bush" figured out. But i saw the name Tabitha, who is that?

Tabitha is Anna’s first stepmother. Married to Anna’s bio father until around 2023, helped raise her.

Me too.

What a seriously messed up case

The delay in the psychiatrist appt might be as simple as that can often be how long it takes to get the initial appointment.

She wasn't asleep, she was in bed having a facetime call with her BF. He saw it happen on the phone.

Anna's father's silence is deafening.

I just watched the interview with the ex bf and she was apparently awake. He says the step bro ran off when he yelled at him.
He also said he was supposed to go on the cruise but they broke up. Call me a fuddy duddy, but these "adults" don't seem to be good chaperones.

I want to say she was cut out of the vigil attendance but who can keep up with these people?
Do we know who is making these decisions? Bio dad and the stepmother of the alleged killer? EXCELLENT.

I've got the feeling that Mama didn't bother telling the person scheduling the appointment that her son had just murdered someone. She probably just said he was having a breakdown. JMO

It is becoming very obvious, to me at least, who wears the pants in that family. Why the heck haven't we heard anything from Anna's dad?
