Anna Kepner’s stepbrother was ‘obsessed’ with slain cheerleader — and once committed creepy act while she was sleeping: report

Kepner’s 16-year-old stepbrother was “obsessed with her” and relentlessly pursued her despite their newly blended family, Steven Westin told “Inside Edition,” citing conversations he had with his son.

Makes me want to vomit that she was placed in the room with him, stepmom needs to be on trial. Jmo

The 16-year-old was hospitalized “immediately after the incident” for an undisclosed reason, according to Athanason, and is now living with one of his mother’s relatives.

Shauntel Kepner indicated her 16-year-old son “has a psychiatrist appointment” early next month, but did not elaborate after the judge cautioned the mother not to speak without first seeking advice from her attorney.

A little late for that psych visit, Shauntel.
IJS.
IMO.

If that 16 year exhibited weird and improper behavior with Anna, my feeling is that his mother ought to be charged with something, putting Anna in harm's way, neglect or whatever. Did Anna's dad have any inking of this boy's "problems".
I'm so angry.

Tabitha is Anna’s first stepmother. Married to Anna’s bio father until around 2023, helped raise her.
I’m going to need a family tree to follow this - poor Anna …

Did I hear correctly that Anna told the adults and they didn't believe her?

I'm very angry too. There is so much wrong. Eighteen yr old stepbrother leaves to live with his dad after what reads as a violent brawl. Then, someone gets the great idea of putting this young lady in a cabin with the sixteen yr old stepbrother.

Id like to think dad was unaware but he agreed to his 18 year old rooming with a 16 year old opposite sex step sibling, so. Not sure how much is going on up there. Thr parenting section of his brain sure as hell ain't lit up.

And if he did know...hmmm.

Sounds like Anna’s dad is on wife 3, probably will end up with wife 4.

Tell me who the problem is. Jmo

I've got one thing to say about what I heard on that video... and that's Holy Moly! Mind blown! 🤯
How could they make her share a room with him?!

How on earth could you ban the biological mother from going to her daughter's funeral? Un-freaken believable.
It sounds like they didn't even bother to tell her that Anna had died.

JMO but... "Either you share a room or you're not going".
I don't mean how could they get her to do it. I mean knowing that she was afraid of him how could they suggest that it would be appropriate in any way.

Dysfunctional from what I've been able to glean.

Maybe they didn't believe her.

He's just a child.

There are many beautiful photos of Anna as a child in this video.

The mother of Anna Kepner, the 18-year-old found dead aboard a cruise ship, is sharing memories of her daughter and describing her as a joyful, compassionate young woman. In an interview with FOX 35, Heather Kepner said Anna was “always happy,” recalling her daughter’s love of horseback riding and cheerleading.

Insane that Anna's father was okay with her being in a room with a 16 year old boy who they've only known for a year. Absolutely, insane.

I mean, something like what apparently happened is not something you're thinking about as possibly happening, but there's plenty of other things well short of that, that you would not want to have your kid go through.

There's just a very basic and easy minimum floor of common sense, decency & care that far too many "parents" fail to meet and unfortunately it's the innocent children who pay the price.
