Joshua claimed that the youngest sibling on the cruise, who was staying in the same cabin as Kepner and her step-brother, allegedly heard a violent altercation between the older teens on the night of November 6.

The young sibling allegedly told Joshua that he was locked out of the room and heard “yelling and chairs being thrown in the cabin.”

“[He] heard him yelling at her in a harmful way, like, ‘Shut the hell up,'” Joshua alleged.

“And that’s when he knew something was going on. There was something going on.

“Something was banging around, like chairs were getting thrown around in the room.”

Joshua claimed the younger sibling stopped talking to him after the FBI intervened and warned the family about speaking out about the investigation.

The ex-boyfriend said he passed along the information he gathered from the young child to federal investigators.

Strangulation is a very violent crime that lasts awhile. It's not a one-second-long impulsive act. I hope they charge the suspect as an adult. IMO.

Do you know how easy it is to walk up to a bar (over 21), order a drink, bring it back to stateroom to the underage drinker? Very.

It's also very easy to go to a liquor store on the islands with one of those fancy tall empty water bottles or two, buy the liquor of your choice, pour it into the empty water bottles and smuggle your liquor onto the ship. And not have them confiscated when you come back aboard forcing you to buy the ships expensive drinks or not drink at all! Then you get all the virgin drinks you want and make the Alcoholic ones in your room! Much cheaper that way and you can do it at 18!

Thing is, no evidence of SA doesn’t mean that he wasn’t trying to SA Anna. He may have attacked her, she may have been fighting back, and he put her in a chokehold - long enough to kill her.

Joshua alleged that Kepner was afraid to tell anybody in her family and that she was “uncomfortable” around her new relatives.

Kepner’s father, Christopher, recently remarried with his new wife Shauntel, who has three children from a previous marriage, which includes the 16-year-old boy being investigated in the cheerleader’s death.

“She was too scared to tell anybody because that one time that he said if she said anything about getting on top of her he’d do something to her,” Joshua claimed.

“She told me that she was uncomfortable with them [her step relatives] being at the house because she didn’t fully know who they were.”

“That their dad had just met this woman, not even like a year ago, and she doesn’t really like her,” Joshua added referring to Kepner’s stepmom.

“She has an attitude most of the time and was very controlling over [Kepner]. But I told her, they’re going to be your parents at the end of the day.”

The ex claimed Kepner often times slept over at her friends house because she was “uncomfortable with him [her stepbrother] being at the house.”
