I get the reasons given for delay in this article but is it really taking this long to dot the I and cross the t

Still dotting there i's and crossing their t's IMO. They want to get it right. Therefore they aren't rushing just because the public wants it to move quicker. I'd rather have it take longer and have a better chance at a conviction, than for it to be rushed and he goes scot-free.

I'm getting worried now that no charges will be brought and it will be docketed as accidental death

While no one was in that room and we don't know the facts of what exactly happened, we can surmise Anna did not kill herself and that step brother was the only person present.

He can not go unpunished even if his only intention was to shut her up and didn't realise his own strength in the pressure he applied

As he is a minor will it be known publicly if he is charged ? And if the fbi can't determine what happened because of no witness what is the protocol then

It pains me to write this because my guess is its not true based on allegedly nudity but if exact scenario cannot be determined could it be claimed that Anna hid under the bed and with the weight of a person on top caused the bed structure to sag and press into her neck and cause strangulation and therefore death .

I'm only asking as charges don't seem to be forthcoming

I should think that if (hopefully when) he's charged, there's a decent possibility of him being charged as an adult. Not sure how much we'll find out if he's charged as a juvenile, though

I’m glad this Florida Today news source did a follow up article (and they listed it again as “updated” on 1/13 - I couldn’t tell what was updated, but at least it made it pop up again in news search.) I hope they will keep posting updates, because otherwise it has fallen out of the news.

To me this case is really unusual as time marches on, the media has never published a death certificate, I don’t notice an obituary or memorial online anywhere and the FBI have never held a news conference nor issued an official statement regarding Anna. If it wasn’t for MSN reports, there’s no official reportings regarding Anna’s death let alone murder at all.

Anna's obituary has been posted and linked to several times in this thread. In fact, @steeltowngirl noticed that they would change the info in it. Search this thread for the word obituary for those conversations and changing obit info.

Murdered on the 7th of November, suspect known , alleged murder takes place in a room with two people occupying it at the time and yet here we are on the 20th of January and still no charges .

I honestly think because suspect is a minor we may just not be privileged to details concerning charges otherwise WTH , seems like the only logical reason I can think of as a delay on releasing information pertaining to this

Thanks misty , I really feel Anna is being forgotten, well justice in the case is just being seeminglyswept under the carpet

If I think logically, I understand these cases take time etc and being on a ship might have its complications but from the scenario we have been presented with in msm

What are the fbi waiting for , I'm gathering all forensics have been done and it's been determined that Anna and step brother was all that was present .

We seen the minor is not been held in a medical facility with pics by DM of him selling logs so I really don't get the delay ??

Could it really be construed as Anna killing herself or if stepbrother killed her accidentally by suffocation by lying on top of a bed she herself had hidden under . If that's the story he may be telling or if he is remaining silent on details saying he can't remember

If he is saying he can't remember, and the fbi can't prove that he did it even though only both he and Anna were in the room during the timeframe what happens then ?

Anna's killer does not deserve to be walking free when he took another's life away.

A crime occurred, because even IF you accidentally harm someone to the point they're unconcious, you seek medical help for them once you realize it, in case they can be revived. Covering it up, hiding their body, and failing to report it is a crime. So there are crimes he could be charged with now and they could be upgraded later.
Maybe they are waiting for the toxicology results?
