OCALA, Fla. —
A Central Florida firefighter and his wife adopted a newborn found in a Safe Haven Box in Ocala back in January.

Baby Zoey is getting national attention.
The sweetheart made an appearance on the "TODAY Show," so her parents could tell her remarkable story.

"It's a gift from God. Nothing else to explain it," Vincent said. “She had a little bottle with her, and she was just chilling. I picked her up and held her. We locked eyes, and that was it. I’ve loved her ever since that moment.”

Beautiful story. I hope bio mom sees this so she knows the baby is loved and doesn't feel guilt. What an agonizing, but loving decision she made. Meant to be.

Some people don't think baby boxes are a good idea. I hope they see this story and it makes them think.
And how amazing, what are the chances of Vincent, a man who has been waiting to be a Daddy for 10 years, being the one on duty the very night that a little girl who needs a Daddy is placed there?. Sometimes the universe knows what she's doing.
I hope little Zoey's first Mama is safe and well, and she's what an amazing thing she did. I wish her love and happiness.
