It seems pretty obvious that Robert had everything to do with her disappearance/death.... there's probably not much more that can be investigated since she committed suicide...
the guy seemed like an abuser with anger management issues... he probably killed her, dumped her body somewhere in the middle of nowhere and then left his car at the airport to make it look like she ran away...
the guilt haunted him until he had to resort to suicide..

"She was on a great track," said Charlie Bockwith, Barbara's brother. "She was an accounting student, she had good grades, she was one of the youngest people to have a real estate license at the time."

That all came crumbling down on Dec. 5, 1979 when Barbara Bockwith went missing. She was never seen again. She had breakfast at McDonald's with her friend Betty Medley that morning before heading to UWF's campus for her 11:20 a.m. class

I think she resembles "Riverside County Jane Doe," found in 1980. I believe the Jane Doe is Mary Michelle Sprague but she also looks like/has similar statistics to Barbara.
